The law route is the best for this reason imo, not for the sake of edge or anything like that but all these things truly happen. I liked the idea of the main character doing something really negative and horrible(to be fair he didn't do it but he supported the decision) and learning from it and not shying away from his actions.
Law - Gives you Alot of Unique Class Units
Chaos - Same way but Vyce is leading them, and Most of the Wallisters are hunting Denam instead. if you still dont agree than Vyce dies no matter what choice you make lol and your forced. but you still end up controlling the Wallister Group.
Chaos - Gives you the "Hardest" Class Units to obtain....
Neutral - Mid Chapter (part Chaos) you agree to help again (basically Skips the effort of Law Chapter 3).. in Chapters 2 - 3 you save the other factions who fall, yet all other factions will be against you. (however yields the most characters, at the same time, it doesnt yield all the unique ones) however Lenoar is in Control. and ends up dying to Cautia.
Netural - gives you the most Characters, and Earliest Classes (Generally the Speed Run route if were to plan to speed run the game, because it hits ya fast and hard)
It makes me really want that sequel...so I can figure out what happened to Lanselot Tartaros. <_< Oh, and I want Denam to join the party Ala Ogre Battle 64.
Not saying you're wrong for wanting some changes, but the bittersweet drama is what sets this game apart from so many others.
