Update Notes for September 12th Patch

Bug Fixes

Added extra precautions when saving and exiting the game, in order to make sure quest related information is saved properly.
Added extra precautions when loading a save file, in order to make sure completed quests would not re-activate.
Fixed an issue where multiple dialogue options would be incorrectly available during certain quests.
Rebalanced the revitalization amount needed for unlocking the ascended pillars.
Fixed an issue with the "A use for jelly" quest, where the Elder would refuse jelly from the player if they quit the game during the related quest step.
Fixed an issue where holding the "jelly" inventory item and pressing the interact key could cause a crash when no appropriate actor was nearby.
Fixed an issue where planting plots would not update their completion correctly on the map if the player moved to far away during their completion process.
Construction boxes spawned inside walls or other objects will now be placed in the hearthship upon reloading the game.
Added precautions to prevent NPC's from getting stuck behind the kitchen area when trying to navigate up the nearby ramp.
Fixed an issue for the quest "Probe 13-L" when it was not activated through the hearthship's computer, causing the probe to not be interactable unless the player backtracked to a previous quest waypoint.

Adjustements and optimization

Adjusted certain vista views.

Elder Heal Quest Bugged? (Spoilers)

I'm near the end of the game where I have collected the magic herb... and then the quest log vanished. I have a quest marker at the entrance to the lava dome oasis entry, but nothing happens when I enter the door. Any suggestions?

I opened the game and the buttons don't work. Like, the button is in one place and I need to put my mouse somewhere else 3" away to click it. I figured controller support may not work but even the mouse is broken...

After Ending, Some of the Crew Vanish

After the end credits only the Elder, Usluk, and Choerin appear in camp. The others vanish. I've searched all over camp for literally 2 in-game days, and I can't find them anywhere (granted the game's default brightness is so dark that it's very hard to see them at all in the first place, but I've searched multiple times). They're not in the ship, not in their houses, not in the cafe, not in the main areas, not in the Oasis, not even in the surrounding areas. They're just gone. Without them, you can't make...

How does one save the VaKoom(Elephant looking creature). The multitool doesn't seem to do anything even after unlocking the ability to remove oil. Wont let me plant anything around it either

Developer Update regarding Distant Bloom

Hello everyone, here comes a small update regarding Distant Bloom and the current state of the game.

First of all, we are overjoyed that so many of you decided to give Distant Bloom a try and the all around positive reception the game has received. It truly means the world to us to see something we worked on be able to bring a joyful experience to so many.

With that said, we also know that the experience up until this point has not been without its faults and we want to profusely apologize for any frustration caused by the issues and bugs some of you have experienced within the game. While we haven't been able to respond to every post regarding these issues, please know that we try and do our best in keeping track of all noted bugs or errors reported.

We are happy to confirm that for the next few weeks we’ll be able to jump back into the project and do our best to fix as many of the issues as we can, with a special focus on critical issues and blockers.

In the coming days we will provide more information about the specific issues that we will be fixing as well as a date for next patch release.

Can someone post location guides for important things like ruins, sick animals and broken stuff? Also after the game ends, can we get something that allows us to track things, e.g. unfinished areas that need growing, characters etc? It's a lot of pain randomly going around and around, lost.
