No way to skip Garbage rampage?

You only have to do it 3 times ever iirc. Once in the solo village, once vs Apex Azuros, and once vs Ibushi.

if you ignored the one in village which is completely optional

you only need to do it twice on apex azuros and ibushi for the story progression , afterward you are no longer required to do it

Thankfully there's not much forced Rampage stuff. Grind through it, then forget the mode exists.

Honestly Capcom needs to learn to not make siege quests mandatory. It was fine in 4U with the giant desert whale, but Zorah Magdoros and Rampage are some of the worst siege quests ever and it's solely due to the fact that it takes forever.

The problem is that in Japan, people LOVE the seiges and giant monsters. Lao Shen Lung for YEARS was one of the top 10 most popular monsters of all time, in the same leagues with Khezu, Los, and Zinogre. Rampage was probably the first time seigies were actually bearable because there were numerous tasks going on. I think something like it should be fleshed out much more rather than be axed.

The issue with Rampage is that it goes on for too long and kinda belittles the monsters. They aren't as threatening when compared to how they are out in the field. It also doesn't help that for Rampages with Apex monsters you could literally just sit in base and wait for it to show up and nearly everyone did that because the siege was so dull.

I was mad when I was forced to it. But I am not a new player. I know what the rampage replaced. Lao Shanglung or any other collosal monster hunt. They are as boring as this sh*t. So endure it. It will pass.

only at most 3 times, twice if you ignore village, and for hub, theres basically always someone grinding out the rampage quests

Genuinely the worst aspect of the base game. Far worse in my opinion then the Zorah stuff in base World, or any of the past games giant monster fights (see things like Jhen Mohran, Dah'ren Mohran, Lao-Shan Lung, or Shen Gaoren).
Really cool idea on paper, but not fun in execution.

you only have to do them 2 times through the story in the Hub, after that they are optional to do

It's two 10 minutes quest. 3 if you go through the village. Every mh game has these lame sieges, Rise is the least egregious.

I actually kind of enjoyed them, they were at least pretty different from the regular missions. There are some bad points, especially how the Apex monsters just instantly destroy the first stage of the map regardless of how well you did up to that point, but I didn't really mind them and I was kind of surprised it was just unceremoniously dropped for Sunbreak.
