2.5 Hours in. Here is what i gathered.
-COOL CLASSES. LOVE the talent and abilities. Anyone can be anything.
-Cool Map. Cool graphics and concept.
-Chose the PVP world cause ya know. Albion.
-Ran across the WHOLE east coast.
-Awesome landscapes. AWESOME monsters.
-NOT ONE SOUL IN SIGHT.
-GHOST LAND
-UNINSTALLED.

It's safe to say that this game is dead in the water. The idea behind Fractured Online is good on paper, but the execution isn't there. This game has a lot of systems that integrate reasonably well. For example, each city in the game has its own individual auction house and various areas of the map are plentiful or scarce in different resources, but everyone in theory should need all the resources at one time or another. So if you want to make some gold, you could decide to buy or farm for resources in the areas where they should be in high supply and run a caravan to the area where they're in high demand.

Sadly because of the tiny player base, you'll be hard pressed to find resources for sale, as most players only gather what they need for themselves. Adding to this, some resources are not useful because they don't support meta builds (looking at you Shadium crystals) and are therefore never in high demand even in the areas where they are scarce.

Unfortunately the game was designed with a large player base in mind, and with so few people playing it doesn't have a good opportunity to shine. This may be partly down to developer indecisiveness and backpedalling which has alienated core parts of its player base, or perhaps a lack of variety of content. One of the main draws of the game is plot building, but once you've built a plot and put some workstations down it's quite stale, and the game surprises you by waiting until after you've paid for a plot to tell you about the weekly upkeep. This is free of course if you pay for a monthly VIP membership.

Lastly the devs have had to scale back the team, an announcement made after their lead developer disappeared for a few weeks without any communication to the staff. This meant GMs were not able to give any updates to players regarding bugs like missing items and server crashes. As painful as it is to admit, I think the team would be doing themselves a favour to call it a day, pull the plug on the project and move on to something more fruitful.
