And Switch is port of the Wii Version
https://youtu.be/u6ZgL5rRtI0
I liked PS3 version personally, and I've played it first so im kinda biased. Bonus content was nice too (If you know what I mean)
Because the wii technical limitations really. The game's art style was designed with these in mind. Less polys and harsh shadows lend to the cell shaded style they went for. Its more simple and works well.
Mine craft is a good example. The low bit textures work well in tandum with the game's simple geometry. Sure you could pop on a 4k texture pack but then minecraft looks strange and it just doesn't work. Ever seen the cow with realistic textures. Its gross.
In Some areas of the PS3, some of the environments have more polygons as well as more bloom which adds a kinda haze to some of the scenes. The higher resolution looks okay on some things but for example in the beginning shot where travis crashes his bike into the fountain, the ground texture is blurry and muddy and washed out. Even some of the walls look gross in some shots.
For me, I think the switch is perhaps the best version for its a more crisp version of the wii but still retains the style and feel of the original. The PS3 looks okay but higher resolutions and softer shadows and bloom and lighting effects coupled with the simple environments and enemies takes away from the charm.
"Better graphical fidelity" doesn't always mean its better. Style and overall feel is more important in this case. I wouldn't mind high poly counts for the environments but not the lighting and textures of the PS3 version.
If suda is a hack why do you even care about this game?
A lot of people prefer the wii version straight up. It's not an unpopular opinion in the least. The art style is massively different and it's not like the redone graphics were cutting edge at the time either. However there are one or two QOL tweaks done in the ps3 version that would have been nice to see.
Who said I cared about it?
I clicked here because the store page was confusing. lol
"Keyboard and mouse not supported, controller support only partial". I wanted to know how you can play with only partial use.
