My experience with this game - Player in Chinese Version
I was quite surprised to see this game pop up in the steam feed, and that it will be coming to the west shortly in the summer. I wanted to share my experience with this game from playing the Chinese version for a year.

Monetization Model
- The game uses a subscription based model in China, similar to FFIX. However, the game has a free trial like WoW where you can play till level 15 for free.
- The game has no P2W cash shop, and the in-game shop only sells cosmetics and vanity items

Progression
- There is no RNG in upgrading your gear. You collect the materials from dungeons and upgrade your gear
- The game isn't as grindy as other Eastern MMOs, but the endgame dungeons are challenging. They will require time, skill, and a good group to learn and clear. If you are able to clear the endgame dungeons, you will progress at a decent pace, and will likely hit the gear cap before the next content update

Content
- PVE: Mostly dungeons & daily quests. There is a decent housing system that can sink your time if you enjoy that type of content
-PVP: Battlegrounds, Arenas, open-world duels
- Standard MMO stuff

Customisation
- The 6 classes that are released at the start will not have gender lock. However, the 2 new classes that will be released in the future will be gender locked
- Character creation: Very good and detailed. Not as good as BDO, but better than most other MMO's on the market.

Graphics/optimisation
- It lives up to the Triple A title. The trailer doesn't do the game justice. It looks pretty amazing at max graphics
- I have a high-end PC and is able to play the game at max setting while having 90-100 fps at max settings. I did not encounter frame drops or fps issues when I am playing the game. Your mileage may vary depending on your PC

Concerns
- Gameforge is the publisher and they have a history of mismanaging games
- Implementation of a P2W cash shop: This will kill the game as the core of game isn't built around a cash shop monetization model
- Content updates: One of the biggest complaints from players in China is that content updates too slowly. While this shouldn't be a problem for the West early on as we have a year's worth of content to catch up on, this can become a problem once we catch up to the Chinese version
- Translation & localisation: No one wants to play a badly translated game. Looking at you Bless and RO.

Conclusion
The game is popular is China and its still going stong due to its challenging content and no P2W.

Hi thank you for giving some very descriptive feedback! I had some questions about the microtransactions I wonder if you'd be willing to answer.

Could you possibly give a rough estimate of how much items in the cash shop cost in real money? For example mention some weapon, some mount, some outfit, and how much each costs? Are there bundles that pair things together for cheaper? Are there ever sales on shop items?

This is the big thing they haven't mentioned about the new version, that will be the same as Chinese version, and I'd love to have a rough estimate of how much they're charging per item, to determine if I want to get the Collector's edition, or just save some $$$ for the cash shop.

Also lastly, do you know if the housing system/flying mounts are available from the moment we start the game or are they unlocked at some point? The Deluxe has a housing pack, and Collector's has a flying mount.

I assume that is not during combat, as pretty much every video i saw people have very low(20-35) fps in combat.

I would honesty wait until GF provides more information on the cash shop. GF may hike up the price of the cash shop as they are going with a B2P model instead of P2P, since they will be relying more on the cash shop for long term revenue. In China, there are sales in the cash shop, but that doesn't mean GF will do the same thing.

The FPS I have when solo'ing, completing quests and dungeons. FPS will drop if there is large number of players on the screen, such as in battlegrounds. However, for me, the game still runs smoothly (lowest I seen is 50 fps) when I am doing any content, and there isn't any stutters. It also important to remember that streaming have a huge impact on fps.

The point is that unlike earlier MMO's, such as ones running on UE3, your fps will be ♥♥♥♥ no matter how good your PC. In this game, having a good PC will improve game performance.

What PC spec do you have?

What CPU+GPU, how much ram?

"High end PC" is kind of vague!

Like the previous poster mentioned, we need your specs to better be able to understand what performance we can expect. And aside from your hardware specs, I also want to know the resolution you're playing at.

Just dropping in to share that with an i7 8700k, 36gb of 3600Mhz RAM and an RTX 2070 the game runs at a perfect 60 in most areas HOWEVER, when there is a higher amount of players on screen (seems to be anything above 5) the game starts to really struggle. This is while maxed out, in cities the FPS can get as low as 20. The game also does not utilise all resources, hanging at 25% CPU usage and 35% GPU usage. It's not the worst optimised game for the detail, but it's also not as optimised as it probably should be.

What resolution were you playing on?

I've been told this game also has 20 man raids? How are they?

CPU: Intel 10900K

GPU: RTX 2080 Ti

Ram: 32 GB @ 3600mhz

I do admit that when you enter heavily populated areas, such as towns, the fps can drop as the game needs to load in the players. To me its fine, as I don't really need 60+ fps to run around a town. When doing content, such as dungeons, quests, and battlegroumds, the lowest I seen Is 50 fps in battlegrounds for me.

Yes, this game uses a trinity system, tank, healer, dps. Also, each class has 2 specs. The bard class for example, has a spec for healing and dps, and you are able to switch between the 2 specs like in WoW.

Hello, about items/equipments loots in party dungeons, how it works ? with a greed system with dice roll ? or each items is "instanced" for each players ? (personally I prefer the second option that prevent dramas in dungeons)
