MSVCR120.dll missing
Bought the game. tried to play. dll missing. Downloaded it from positech forum (the one cliffski linked). now it says 0xc000007b problem and the program won't start. tried to check fileintegrity like 10 times. deleted reinstalled.
srsly what the joke is this?
so I did yarrr-things and it worked completely fine.
so the official game is not working but when I download it from elsewhere, it works completely fine.

This is because the Visual C++ 2013 redistributable is not installed. We have a checkbox on the end page of the installer to install this. 95% of PCs already have it installed, but it sounds like yours does not. re-run the installer with that box checked and it should work fine.

Thanks for the fast answer.
1. I could not install the game manually. I bought the game here, it just downloads and installs automatically. I downloaded the .dll file you linked from the positech forums (sorry for the misunderstanding though)
2. I have both the x64 and the x86 version of Visual C++ 2013 redistributable installed (12.0.30501)
I tried to run as admin, I disabled my antivirus (Nod32), I have w10, but I tried to run it with w7 and w8 (from preferences) neither started the game. The only difference is that w7 and w10 required the dll I mentioned above, whereas w8 missed another dll (MSVCP120.dll)

that DLL should also be part of the redistributable. Windows 7,8,10 should all run the game as long as though dlls are present. We are actually updating the game with the next version so that these DLLs are included in the app folder to make it 100% sure it can run.
Quitye why microsoft will not let us just compile that code into our actual software is beyond me.. *sigh*.
So hopefully the next update will run for you on any PC you own.
Found the problem. I had to manually uninstal the Visual C++ 2013 redistributable (both x64 and x86), and had to download it from microsoft website. REPAIR DIDN'T WORK EITHER.
Hopefully this will help to others as well.
