So i received buckles for all sorts of tasks, and I have about 8 buckles (gold). How can I exchange or sell them? And is it even possible to interact with them in any way other than putting them on your belt?. (Yeah im a newbie on this game)

Yep you can sell them and other random items like watches, rings, etc. at the fence! Exploring is part of the fun, so I won't mention where the fences are!

oh CC, what makes you think the virtuous Miss Harriet and i have consumated our love ? it's true we hold hands , and i have seen her ankles, but i,,,, i am a gentle man , i shall never tell !!!
truth be told i havent seen Miss Harriet yet , for it has been awhile and i fear she may have forgotten me . plus i need to hone my skills after my respite i fear my skills have waned , i am not the badass pistolero of legend that i was , i need a few hours of practice montage and a lot of Marty Robbins songs to get back in shape
now if by chance you have a private lobby , i would not be opposed to joining it ,, if i were so invited, or if you choose you can join mine , mine is so private it's only me which really isnt ideal, but is great for my practice with said marty robbins fueled montages

Wait, you CAN? I thought they were permanent unlocks, at least the ones tied to achievements. Like I got the "honorable" belt buckle. I hope I didn't sell them by mistake.

Yep, but not all of them. The buckles from the inventory (satchel, valuables) can be sold. The buckles from the player's clothing are just to wear. The buckle rewards from completing challenges can be reset for .40 gold.
