e.g. If you do a Washington DC - New York trip, the ticket will be calculated according to the distance between them, but if you do a Washington DC - Madrid - New York, it's the Madrid - New York leg that will be taken into account for ticket calculation.
From today's discord
I now lose the massive value of DC to Madrid because I don't have a direct connection from DC to Barcelona.
The problem with this change though is how much lag will it cause keeping track when you have a lot of cities.
Do you pay your tickets in RL before or after taking the flight? Most of the time beforehand of course and based on the whole trip. The game need nothing to remember but payout after the passenger starts it's trip. Finito and boom, game core mechanic finally working and lag because of passenger following systems working internally completely removed.
Yeah, I know, these devs here than would say: but you could sell the route after the flight started and so cheat after having got the payout after the flight started. And I tell these devs: So what? Let the flight continue to it's destination and delete the line after that.
