Please Devs, keep to YOUR vision - Casuals out to delete any semblance of difficulty -
Many of the complaints and suggestions = completely removing key features which give the game its visceral feel.

+1 they just want to skip that learn process as fast as they can

There should be a limit to the amount of consumables either carried or restricted somehow. Unlimited usage is an example of reducing the game to being a joke. Stick to your guns! NRFTW is shaping out to be masterful and distinct

There's a clear difference between difficulty, and tedious.
This game, from all I've read of reviews and feedback, is not only difficult, but also tedious.
Having to do the same areas over and over to farm resources you already farmed an hour before? Tedious.
Having to wait some weird-ass arbitrary timer for upgrades? Tedious
Having to constantly craft your own heals? Tedious
Having to pay money to repair gear? Tedious.

Most people don't want tedious. Points of friction are points of quit for a lot of players. They want a difficult game that rewards getting better at the game. They don't want to be forced to do the same boring content just to get 10% ahead.

So the game should just be you going in and killing stuff right? Remove everything else? Gotcha, bet.

Nice Strawman, here's a hat for you to put on it.

Yeah keep upping the difficulty arbitrarily so less and less people want to play it! yeah! don't be like Elden ring where the difficulty doesnt constantly scale up for no reason and you can choose how difficult you want the game to be based on your class choices. who wants choice in games thats just silly. Just make it only for the try hards who don't have jobs or no social life so they can feel accomplished for beating a game nobody wants to play any longer because the fun keeps getting sucked out of it from tedium and decisions that only a very small percentage of players actually want. Although I'm pretty sure all the average players already dropped this and arent coming back but yeah! less money! go get it girl! I mean honestly who plays games to have fun anyways thats just silly child stuff.

I Agree, casuals have become a big problem these days. And the most crazy part about it is the fact that they like some of those unnecessary boring mechanics that make a game "tedious" in other games.
For example dark souls series
- Enemies respawn after death/using bonfire - tedious? of course not, it's a well balanced feature that not everyone can understand
- You lost your souls after death and have to go and pick it up if you don't wanna lose them - tedious? Nah, just a fair combat etc.
My point is if that would be fromsoftware people will say omg feels challenging and I like it. They say a game is not fun but noone f**king knows what that exactly means. They can't explain and even if they can you'll easily find some games in their steam that have exactly the same problem or even worse but they gave it a positive review.

100% agree. The game is nowhere near as difficult as elden ring anyway. If you want easier games, there are tons of them out there.

Like what? What makes it a "visceral feel"?

Elitist much? How about just having a good time?

no i'll agree that the going back to get your souls is a little tedious and I don't enjoy it but it gives death a loss impact. And they kind of need creatures to respawn in that game frequently otherwise you can't harvest the souls you need to level. But I do understand what you mean fromsoft gets passes but also I don't feel like I'm being punished for using in game mechanics when I play fromsoft games. Like there isn't an enchanter that makes your item you enchant absolute garbage in ds games lol. And they have earned the respect of many people thats why fromsoft gets passes. this game and its developers have not earned that yet. And they are steadily moving in the opposite direction of fromsoft. I don't mind difficult as long as its fun. But this is not fun anymore its getting harder and less fun.

I think his point was that he can't anymore because of mechanics implemented to give the illusion of difficulty but actually arent difficult just annoying. He's not being elitist cause he's coming from the opposite end who doesnt enjoy things like "smaller backstab box" or higher difficulty spikes. correct me if I'm wrong but some people don't want things harder especially in this game i thought the difficulty was balanced quite well until this newest patch making things harder now it just pisses me off.
