2. You need perfect harvest for seeds, even if it's your own character doing the farming. See crops ready to be harvested(NPC farmer) and it's perfect, you must collect crops yourself. Aka some micromanagement.
3. Better farm yourself and gain the expertise for More Seeds.... Only the player has the special bonus. Actual micromanagement.
Make sure the field has enough Water, Ash, Etc throughout the crops life to ensure a good harvest.
Of course it works. The amount of plowing to ensure high porosity especially for higher tier crops and mulching the dead roots to claim back fertilizer is a real pain if you do it manually.
Still have to watch out for balance. Some plants can mean doom for the harvest. E.g All peas farm... Mouse over the seeds to know why.
Thanks. We got it figured out now :)
"Best practices" is use them to raise porosity but take them off before the harvest. You harvest, you get the seeds, you decide when or how to replant.
