Modern controls do not matter other than a tool to get people into the game. If they do in the long run, you're probably not grasping the basics of fighting games to begin with. Looking for excuses to justify mediocrity.

He only experimented with it a bit in the demo. This is just me but I don't get why modern Guile is still being hyped up. His normals are still way too valuable and the ones he loses in modern are really good. People put too much value on his boom loops

What gets me is people saying modern Gief is a monster, when it isn't even hard to do a standing 360. The loss of 20% of his damage on using modern is kind of a big deal imo. I'm a Gief main.

The only crazy thing he gets is the ability to do a "standing 720" with his level 3. It's possible to do that on a pad using classic, but it's damn hard and only a handful of people can do it.
