the imperium of man is loosely based on imperial rome, and therefore the language spoken by the citizens of the imperium must either be
high-gothic, which sounds identical to proper elizabethan era-english
or low gothic, which sounds like the grunts made by drunken cockney soccer-hooligans
it would be nice but i would hope that if they implimented it they would allow you to completely remake your character at the barber shop.
americans speak with the original english accent. the current one was an affectation that came about later.
There isn't one....
That is a mystery even Americans cannot answer as we have so many dialects in America alone, that foreigners wouldnt be able to keep up with them all.
Only English accent more annoying is likely the Welsh or Sheffield accent.
One such example is that most modern British accents no longer pronounce the letter "R". For example, the rejects in the game call the enemy sharpshooters a "Snoi-pah" instead of a sniper (Sneye-perr).
Apparently it's a bit of a myth and both have diverged from the original accents
