WHY TF does this game ask for your IP address and Location on start up!!!
Seriously though I've never seen a game do that and it's incredibly suspect

Hi FoxGlove007 - Can you explain how did you come across it?
We do have a telemetry system included in the game by Unity that track players actions, so we could see if the game crashes, or see which story paths players have chosen the most. We do ask for the players permission to turn it on during the first game launch, but if like to disable it, you can do it from the main menu of the game.

Sorry I've just never seen that sort of thing with a game before and it seemed very odd.

Their "telemetry system" includes harvesting player choices in the game to sell to marketers, while they get credit for bringing it up as some devs don't even ask, but there is no way to enjoy such a game while you're being spied on and the data used against you later. Unethical, shame.

Glad this comment was informative.

Telltale did the same thing but never asked for this. Just weird.

No idea why people decide to pass on a game that just tracks choices etc. Just like Telltale did etc. It's certainly not to spy on us or smth nor will it do any harm and it can be turned off. Heck, people can play it while offline, if needed. Sucks if others miss out on the game due to this or turn a fly into an elephant or smth :(

Literally the first screen that comes up is asking you if you're fine with your choices being recorded. You don't have to. I don't mind it.
