BE AWARE: Saving while playing multiplayer!
I and 4 friends were playing together for 6 hours straight.

A friend of us who was the host had to go to bed but we wanted to continue.
We all saved the game and another friend tried to host the game and continue our journey.

Problem is, we all had to start all over again!

In order to continue our journey, the host (who had to go to bed) has to come online and host the game again. Only THAN you can continue your journey.

Atleast, this is what I think. We haven't tested it out but you never know. Just wanted to tell you this.

Wasn't this the same for the first game too though? We could never continue the coop if the host went to bed.

There was a 'fix' though, if the host sends their save file to you and you replace yours, you can continue the game. The problem is, this will overwrite your save file and you'll also get all the hosts items and stats, etc.. So, not really a fix.

But yeah, this has been like that since the first game.

Oh my gosh seriously. You had to start again when someone else created a new game?

What's wrong? How did you think coop save works?
Host have the save file, and when players at host' server save their progress they just writing information about their inventory, stats etc. in host save file. All the games work like that.
What did you expect?

Thanks for the warning I didn’t know Dedicated servers were not possible yet.
Pity some people replied negatively.

That's exactly like The Forest, isn't it.
You title sounds like there is some kind of bad bug that can mess up your save.

i have a fix for this, you only need to pick up the save of your friend in the game archieves and put it in your game files, dats how me and some friends can continue playing afther the host left

Yeah I was thinking that as well. It seems that the multiplayer people should have the option to locally save the game file though. Sending them manually is very early 20s.
