Game Related FAQ

- The game does not proceed from NOW LOADING.

It has been reported that this is due to the influence of anti-virus software such as avast or Norton.
We would appreciate it if you could make an exception for WizardryFoV2.exe.

- The game isn't English!

Go to OPTION from title screen. The first item is a rough language setting.
In addition, messages and names specific to each scenario may not be in English in the user scenario.

- I don't know how to play!

Of course, this is a placeholder of sorts, so we will consider implementing in-game TIPS if we get many feedback from our users.

- Messages/Item/Monster Names can't be English!

Those are determined by the scenario side.

In the case of user scenarios, most of the ones that exist at launch are 15 years old, are a collection of things created by Japanese people for Japanese people, and few of them are available in English.

NO.

About title of this game, it has been officially licensed from the current clear trademark rights holder. This has nothing to do with #1-5.

Therefore, you will not be able to play the dungeons and contents of #1-5 themselves. We have also placed technical restrictions on future editor for prevent infringement of a third party's copyright or other intellectual property rights.

We will remove or force change those scenarios when we see them in the scenario servers. In some cases, you may even be permanent banned from our server. (eg: copy and paste past Wizardry. or mimic of past Wizardry things like using unique character, unique spell name)

Please keep those thing as an "idea source" only. and you don't use any unique thing belong to third party's copyright or other intellectual property rights.

We may also have to be very strict with any mods that help reproduce past Wizardry. If users grossly violate this under the banner of mod, Ultimately, we will be forced to remake this game into can't enjoy anyone.

- I can use custom portraits?

YES. see "Wizardry The Five Ordeals\Data\User\face"

you can use 100 slots that face01-100 foldier.
There are five basic files in each slots, each of which can use a transparent png file.

face_a (image resolution: 96x96)
This is the face icon that is displayed on the character when the UI is in "3:2 Mode" or "SD Mode".

Face_b (Image resolution: 270x96)
Face icon displayed on the character when the UI is in "HD Mode".

Face_c (Image resolution: 1920x1080)
Portrait displayed in various status screens.

Face_d (Image resolution: 1920x1080)
Portrait displayed while selecting character commands in battle.

Face_e (Image resolution: 1920x1080)
The portrait displayed when investigating and unlocking treasure chests.

If the corresponding file does not exist, it will not be displayed.
expect face_a items in this file can also be set to different data that will be displayed depending on the character's status.

The number to the left of the list is the priority level, with the larger number having priority.
Sample files[drive.google.com] are available. documents though only in Japanese and bit old. but included a portrait sample of the character used in the promotional screenshot, and mask/templates.

- What about the scenario editor?

It is in open beta in Japanese.
Therefore, there is no English UI, and we anticipate great difficulty in using it now.
