It seems like if I can just strip enchantments in my inventory, it has made the washing machine redundant.

I strip the "dried" enchants, from materials. I favor better enchants and don't want "dried" stealing a precious slot.

Not really, you can do that from the select multiple in your inventory.

It gives the "washed" enchant which have a (very weak and useess) effect.... while the "scrubbed" enchant gives nothing.

Pretty sure they removed the scrubbed enchant, last time I actually played they just become plain items when you remove enchants through your inventory.

There's a handful of enchants that you can't flat remove, but the washer will still remove them completely.

I use the Washing Machine to "clean" dungeon weapons for refining.
