Not showing up for download

I got the pre-order as a gift at Christmas. However, I cannot download the game for the early release. Does a gift pre-order not count for early release?

hmm great I see it claims to be "transferring" files over my local network..not WTF that is supposed to mean but if it means its going to be an issue going back and forth between devices it's the beginning of the end for me. just wow

Can anyone take a screenshot of the download button? I got founders and can't see anything

Edit: fixed it, check the game on your library, you will see an "Install" button on the top left, click and it will start downloading the game.

Game File Transfer over Local Network is a Steam feature, to copy game files from another computer in your home network instead of downloading from the internet. It has nothing to do with Civ 7 itself, just with how Steam installs your game. Once installed, it doesn't matter where Steam got it from.

Restart your Steam, a few times if you have to. It worked for me. One of the download button was a huge banner at the top of my Steam library, can't miss it.

Thanks.. I was suffering crazy slow trickle so I clicked cancel transfer and it started back the DL from Steam at lighting speed

I had this issue early this morning (UK time), but just restarted my PC, restarted Steam (obviously) and the download option was available..

Just so yall are tracking. I'm in the window and couldn't install. Fixed it by going to Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache. That cleared it up for me.
