Well it's Switch port, so I'm guessing it's a big fat No.
Welp, online CO-OP in 2021 is a must..

Agreed. This will dramatically improve longevity of this game. It needs to be in both this and the original Bubble Bobble. I mean it's literally called Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. You just can't play with them...

I mean, I guess you can use Remote play but it's not really the same.
Remote play is nice, but adding rollback netcode is far more ideal. We'll just have to vote with our wallets.
Store page updated to say Remote Play Together, so sorta. Still better than nothing, though.
you can use parsec I think

Steam Remote Play is basically the same thing as it, no need really.

You can invite people to remote play together on Steam with a url-link, so the only requirement for participants is a web browser, no need for the Steam client or a Steam account.

No proper adaption to 2021 = no buy at full price for me
I still don't know about the complains.
You can use remote play together, the second player does not need a great PC, not event a PC, he can play in a browser. He also doesn't need a second copy of the game. Cheaper than online COOP.

Yeah, honestly. While online Bubble Bobble is nice and I wouldn't mind it whatsoever, it's best played in-person (like a lot of co-op games, really), and this is a nice in-between for people wanting online.
Because the quality is utter crap. Far more lag than properly implemented netcode and ugly, streamed video instead of native rendering. It's a new way for lazy developers to be even lazier and throw in a cheap, sub-par solution for the fans they pretend to care about.
