End of Dragons enough?

Im poor student so i can't afford all expansions. Do i miss out when i only buy the latest one? Heard you don't get flying mounts if you dont get the other ones?

Tbh i play the game just fine without flying mounts. I even think they are not so necessary. When I started the game I did it with the free account and when i reach the level 3X, I decided to buy the expansions. Just at about level 5X, I understood the "Living World" stuff (seasons) and bought them because they were on sale. I'm a casual player so my path from level 1 to 80 (max) took a long time so I can tell you with certainty that in the game you will never feel like you are left behind or encounter "empty" zones.

LW1- Free
LW2- Can skip
HOT- Raids, legendary armors some good elite specs
LW3 -Legendary Accessory, can skip
POF- Raids, legendary ring, fun elite specs, 5 mounts
LW4- Racing car and helicopter mount, legendary accessory
LW5- Easy Skip
EOD- Hardcore Strikes no one likes to do, overpowered specs, Flying Turtle,

You dont need mounts for any content where they are not provided.
Both flying mounts are for convenience, and virtually no content in the game is designed to require them. Playing the game without flying mounts is essentially playing it how it was designed to play.

But from your comments, your goal seems to be just to talk poorly about what you dont like in the game. So just dont play? Problem solved?

This is false, absurdly so.

The HoT maps have probably the most active meta events in the game (most profitable, required for PvE legendaries, most team oriented, most fun), trains most every night plus random people running them all the time. The PvE dailies (doing 3 dailies any combo of PvE/PvP/WvW nets you 2g) bounce all over the entire 3 expansions making lots of people run the events in all of the starter zones and all of the f2p zones. The world boss trains are almost all in the f2p zones, hero point trains (expacs), currency trains (LW seasons), bounty trains (PoF)...the whole world is active _all the time_. Meta's going on at 24/7 in all the zones that people are always participating in (except that damned Domain of Vabbi eastern side meta that everyone tries to ignore). The achievements (1000's of them), collections and legendaries all require stuff from the older maps.

I'd even argue that EoD is the least played open world of the expansions and primarily because it has it's own daily set. The metas are pretty cool though.

Well, not sure about the "fun" part as that is subjective. But there's certainly a lot of players on those dated content as far as I can see, as a returning player since 2 months ago. Basically, there's little to worry about not having anyone doing the old content because the to-dos in GW2 brings people back there. There are also organized guilds that have scheduled time to do specific old content as they have been doing all these while.

I agree, people will say that some still do those contents, while it may be true, it's not where the action is or where people focus their endgame time in, you'll only see other players who are late to the party doing that kind of stuff.

They need to move on to GW3 or revamp a lot of their game systems and overall experience in order to keep gw2 growing..

No Chronos, maybe you should consider play something else instead spread misinformation and FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) in this forum. You are the ONE person that keeps talking nonsense you don't have a clue about for new players that have legit interest in the game. At first I thought your posts were legit, but looking at your profile, and seeing the amount of FUD you keep vomiting on *every single thread* just confirm you are just a troll.

I'm glad and welcome you to the game, give it time and we'll see if you enjoy it. Take it slow, ask for help immediately if you are uncertain and in fact the entire vet community is in high gear eager to help new comers such as yourself.

Yes i agreed, at first i thought he or she was legit that gave constructive feedbacks but the more i read the more nonsense he is speaking. All he has is a very negative energy and nonsensual logic with little to no knowledges, epxeriences, all of his post is about how bad and rush his behavior was while playing like a few days then come here and force his negative, misleading view to other who still have a vague idea about the game in other words the worst kind of previewer.

It's the other way around.
Got the 1st two expansions on sale last Christmas for 15$ and you get pretty much 90% of the game right there.
Unlocking the most important mounts you need.

The latest expansion adds a weird mount nobody uses and content you only need when you've seen everything else in the game.
Which should take more than a year for any casual.

Guild Wars 2 is very good at keeping old content relevant.
HoT and PoF expansion areas are most definitely still populated to a good degree.
There is plenty of expansion-specific stuff that can only be earned in those areas, hence there's still people going for it.

For instance Legendary Armor.
Legendary Armor can only be gained through raids or through PvP.
If you go the raids route, then you will need tons of materials farmed in the HoT area maps.
PoF and EoD maps don't help you with Legendary armor.
Hence there's still plenty of people playing the HoT content, who are playing it so they can have enough to craft their legendary armor.

If you are looking at getting into the game I highly recommend trying out free to play or starting out with the Heart of thorns+Path of fire combo, for the price of end of dragons you get the two expansions that both impact day to day gameplay more, and combined include a lot more content than just the core game and End of dragons.

Path of fire grants access to the raptor (fast long distance jumper), Springer (high jumping bunny) skimmer (basically a hovering jetski that can cross land as well as water) and the griffon (my personal favorite it's like a sport glider and after a dive from a good height it is the fastest mount in the game, once you master it, it's the most enjoyable flying mount in any game period).

Heart of thorns grants access to the glider as well as a lot of other masteries that make exploring the world fun and rewarding.

i guess pof is better choice for you. When you have gold you can buy living world s3-s4 and you will be fine comparing end of dragons

Its seems you can't buy any living world by it self on steam.
