If we could assign a text to the beacon that is displayed when the beacon is in the middle of the focus, that would indeed be a "nice to have". Thumbs up from me.
lol
Lol! Don't you just love that fellow Murphy? His durn law keeps popping up at THE most inconvenient times! ;-P
I'm old fashioned; tried the beacons, found more than one to be mondo distracting when gazing at the landscape - so instead I have a heap of scrap paper beside the 'puter, scribbled with recipes and such, so I don't have to have my screen cluttered with pinned ones, and locations and such noted so I don't need the beacons.
Old-school, yes - all I can say is, I'm a big fan of Simple...
The vehicle beacon is excellent and they now have a system for displaying an Icon shaped one.
Suggestions:
- Create a set of icons like Extractor/Mine, Base, Loot/Treasure Pile/Valuable Resources, Uranium, Osmium etc
- Allow us to turn on that graphic for the beacon so we can indicate a mine
- Attach a beacon to a Tier 2 teleporter so we can home in on those specifically
- Microchip that leaves a beacon on your Death Crate so you can find it instead of being stressed (or I suppose, summon it with a unit you build in the base but that's easily abused because people would die just to not walk places)
