Fuel on windows 8.1, start the launcher but nothing happens beyond.
Whenever I launch the game i get the launcher, I then click play and nothing happens it never launches.

How to fix that? I re-installed gfwl, and tried launching seculauncher directly but nothing does.

Win 8.1
amd A8 cpu
Ati Radeon 6700 HD
8 gb ram
1 tb HDD

I know gfwl will close soon, but I want to play this singleplayer for it's nice scenery.

Most of the problems I've had with Fuel are GFWL related. You could try logging into GFWL manually before starting Fuel. Since GFWL is about to expire there are is a handy alternative mentioned HERE that may be worth a try.

You've most likely already tried this but it's probably worth updating your graphics, dx and soundcard drivers. I can't remember if Fuel uses OpenAL (a lot of the codemasters racing games do) - that may be another install to try.

I'm running Fuel on Windows 7x64 - Not tried (and unlikely to try!) Windows 8.1. Do you have any compatibility mode options on Windows 8? You could try running it in Windows 7 compatibility mode if you can?

I used the emulator as mentioned above and the game loads but at the main screen where is says hit Enter to continue nothing happens it just sits there. If you leave it alone the intro will play and you can press Enter and it will just go back to the orig screen saying press Enter and can not get any further

I have the same problem and I tried to re-install the game. But I really don't know what the problem is.

This seems to be the case for most Windows Live games. Here's the link for the latest release:

Not sure of the shut down status for Win Live but assume MS will leave enough of it running to still honor games associated under it.
