Should have launched in early access
Hey devs:

This game looks great especially for a two person team, the concept looks like a lot of fun, but I think you're going to get murdered by the early reviews.

If you'd launched in EA, people would be much more forgiving. Launching in EA also gives you two launch windows and lowers the refund rate.

If you can undo that doodle, I highly recommend it. Best wishes.

It didn't have a kickstarter - they funded it themselves, over 4 years. What would you do?!

Early access or not - I really hope the dev will stick with the game for a long time to realise its potential.

Put the tag.
Without it anyone who don't follow the story will only think a scumy dsev put a unfinished game on the store.
I would more likely buy a early acess game than a negative rated.

I decided to go full access because I thought the game looked more finished than it needed for early access. I didn't have testers to test the game on every possible device.
Now, I see that the game needs more time to finalize, and I will spend all my efforts to solve all the problems that have arisen.

I have read your feedback in the other thread. If you read mine, you know I get your point, we all need to focus in helping the developer bring out the best game.

PS.If possinle, uploading even a small gameplay video on good res, will cement my decision to get this, which I will regardless, but just saying.

I'm making a game by myself, and I'm testing one, and I couldn't find many of the bugs that all the players found. It's not a principle, I just don't have the money to hire assistants. Now the players have found a lot of bugs, and I will do my best to fix all of them.

Valve is very vocal about what EA is NOT: Not a way to finance your project!
Because he has no funding its maybe even respectable that he has not dropped an unstable project into EA. But then he put it on the store without losing a word about the real state. Welp.

What Early Access Is Not
Early Access is not a way to crowdfund development of your product.
You should not use Early Access solely to fund development. If you are counting on selling a specific number of units to complete your game, then you need to think carefully about what it would mean for you or your team if you don't sell that many units. Are you willing to continue developing the game without any sales? Are you willing to seek other forms of investment?

For the future, this is a purpose of Early Access. It allows developers with less resources to advertise the game as needing feedback and time in the oven, and it's a great way to get playtesting done pre-release without people judging you as harshly!

it is almost impossible to test your own game once it reaches this level of complexity. Your perceptions are too colored by your own familiarity with the project.

Its time to put this into a sticky thread or a news post, because I doubt you want to repeat yourself ad finitum? Also info about how to report bugs maybe?

I wish you well in your efforts. I'll definitely keep my eye on the game, and buy it when it sounds like you've resolved the most serious problems. Keep up your hard work and good luck.
