there are zero stutters or framedrop issues on my linux pc or steam deck - with EAC active and online working. in general people report no stutters and slightly higher average fps for a given hardware setup on linux vs windows with elden ring. valve has implemented ER-specific performance fixes to linux that MS won't for windows. EAC is linux-enabled on ER, and seems to cause no complications there whatsoever, because it can't root your OS.

I'd blame it on cheaters for necessitating the need for an anticheat, not the anticheat itself, but hey, saying "pirate" on the internet is cool and edgy amirite lol.

easy anti cheat has never ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worked, pirating games however, works and is good for poor people to be able to enjoy overpriced modern games

Yeah, pirates aren't why there is anti-cheat. CHEATERS are why there is anti-cheat. You're thinking of DRM- things like Denuvo. If people weren't such tiny-♥♥♥♥ losers that need to cheat because they suck, we wouldn't need anti-cheat. If you cheat at video games, you are a loser. Full stop.

I have 0 issues. Game runs smooth. EAC works fine for me.

I play offline and I'm having a blast. PvP is trash in these games anyway. you can't have any fun until you completely finished the game and spent hours copy pasting a build from the wiki.

then you learn moves from videos and play rock paper scissors... big whoop. the only thing anti cheat ruins is PvP. that's like saying "pizza is ruined because of taxes on pineapple", it's the worse part of these things, bruv.

plus no online PvP on ANY game ever works on the first week, not even counter strike's did.

stop whining at pirates, they're not the problem. this isn't a DRM, this is an anti-cheat. made to prevent PAYING customers from ruining the experience. this is all the souls community ruining things for themselves.
