Horrible micro stuttering?
I have an i7 13700kf an RTX 3080 and 64 GB of ram and I'm having horrible experience with micro stuttering. The game is unplayable for me rn. Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it? Everything I've read online seems geared towards people with low PCs any help would be appreciated.

It’s been caused by the new patch. Think it needs to be fixed with one.

I'm fighting with it too atm. Tried nvidia control panel settings and windows settings but no result so far. Turning on rebar didn't help in fact it might've made things worse.

This is clearly game issue oriented around CPU single core performance, if you take a look at core usage you'll notice that only 4 cores are used and majority of load is focused on 1 core, which will be like 80-85% usage.
This is baffling because my 13600k is 5.1Ghz, i can only imagine how bad it must be on lower end hardware.

P.S I've not even entered DLC yet as my save was fairly early NG+3, xD

What's funny or sad depending on how you look at things, is that my former 3060ti/12400 rig at ER launch, was better experience then my current 4080/13600k xD

I had the same, unplayable game after pre-DLC update, it slow down and speed up in a 1 second interval regardless of resolution and settings. Unmodded game, 3090 gpu. Updated drivers, changed all kinds of settings, nothing helped. In the end I killed everything that was running in the background like antivirus, office, browsers, nvidia control, fan and led control etc and suddnely everything runs smooth again on highest settings. So no idea what app was incompatible in the end but it seems it was some incompatibility issue with other software.

I intend to try disabling E-cores in bios when i get home in the evening, i tried to use the task manager to assign cores but the anti-cheat crap prevents that :/

Even if you remove shuttering, fps drops are still very massive
In base game I'm getting 60fps 3days ago now it goes to 25 sometime during boss fight
Also grass and all grave despawn sometime

Yupp, just facing off against a legacy dungeon boss and with every attack the game slows down due to insane stuttering. Running the game on a RTX 2070S. Shame.

I'm using a Radeon 6700 XT. I found that disabling AMD SmartAccess Memory and playing in Borderless Windowed mode helped alleviate micro-stutters. I still have the occasional big FPS spike, though, which may eventually go away with time if these spikes are due to shader compilation. For those on Nvidia GPU's, perhaps try disabling resizable bar or whatever is the Nvidia equivalent of SmartAccess Memory. It's also useful to use a frametime graph from a program such as MSI Afterburner or Riva Tuner.

Disable EAC and it goes away, you can find a mod on Nexus that does it pretty easily. The bad thing is that you'll have to play offline.

Disable E-cores - fixed stuttering for me

Clear the Directx shader buffer. It helped me.

I have the exact same thing happening to my game, yet i still didnt found the solution. I actually get my game to run normally by switching off the planned GPU acceleration, but it runned fine only until first restart after that everything went back to stuttering. Than i turned off the E - cores and again, it runned fine until first restart. Now i trying to refund the game, couse the issue doesnt seem to be common, so they may not be focusing on fixing it and the game is absolutly unplayable so i dont want to lose my money.
