Blue Screen of Death upon launching
I don't know what's going on, but every time I have tried to launch the game today I get the Blue Screen of Death. I have never had any issues with this game before (except for 1 or 2 standard crashes in the 90+ hours I have in the game). But now I cannot even launch the game or my computer just dies. I have verified the integrity of the game files via steam with no luck. Anyone have recommendations, or do I just wait for a patch?

What is on the BSOD? Show photo or info from logs.

Blue screen is realy bad and indicates that you tinkered with stuff you probably shouldnt unless you know what you are doing.
Or your hardware can't keep up cuz you never cleaned the dust or anything like that. But since you come here to complain I just assume you have proper hardware and checked the temperatures on your gpu and cpu when starting the game.

As I said, I have never had issues with the game before. The only mod I have downloaded is the Seamless Co-op, so maybe the new update is messing with that? I don't think that would cause a BSOD when I was playing the standard game though.

It shouldn't. I forgot to delete the input.dll for mods when I started playing again and EAC just told me I have files installed I shouldnt so I deleted only that single file and it worked again. The mods are still in the folder and I can make them work by putting in the .dll file again.

But yea since it used to work but now does not means you changed smth. May that be dust in the fan or other tinkering that affects the game.

Checked the logs, here's what I found from one of the crashes:
The GameInput Service service terminated with the following error:
The compound file GameInput Service was produced with a newer version of storage.

The GameInput Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 5 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 1000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

than fix your gameinput service installation if you are sure this caused the BSOD

That's not it. BSOD, if it was registered (and this is not so certain), will be in the "system" category. Next time make photo (whole screen!).

Same issue here, but not with the game itself, but on the OST option of the DLC. It crashes and restarts the PC every time (on the other hand, I can play the DLC just fine). Has anyone had the same issue today?

On the same note, I can only see the BSOD if I'm on double monitor, but the BSOD screen is completely empty (I see just the sad face, and then it restarts in a split of a second, not being able to see anything).

You must disable auto-restart on BSOD. Is is enabled default.

I'm literally having the exact same issue since the prelaunch update. It's kinda breaking my heart

Same issue here, I stopped the game through steam once and now it bsod's on launch every time. Will fresh install to see if it fixes it.

Update: fresh install does not fix it, the bsod is a kernel security check failure

Update2: for anyone still experiencing the problem, deleting all the files in the easyanticheat folder (inside the installation folder for the game), then verifying the installation through steam fixed the problem for me.

Tried reinstall and the easyanticheat delete/validate and still getting BSOD on launch :(
BSOD Stop Code was "unexpected_kernel_mode_trap"

Can launch the artbook/ost with no issues. Appears that something is going on with easyanticheat
