[HELP] Elden Ring Cause/SLOW my internet download and upload speed!

Elden Ring Devs PLEASE HELP to fix this!

I have 1 Gigabit internet at home. When I'm in Elden Ring something is limiting my bandwidth! So I test my download and upload speed at speedtest.net My download speed somehow is cap at 10Mbps and upload 0.25Mbps!

I did some Google find out theres other guy have same issue as me

This is something to do with Elden Ring game itself. Because even when I play PS4 version of this game(under same network) my internet bandwidth is affected and cap to 10Mbps download and 0.25Mbps.
So I CANT live streaming to my Twitch channel while im playing the game....SMH

After fully close the game everything went back to normal. This is insane they need to fix this ASAP I don't know how many people here have the same issues as me.

Try to run a speed test while you in game and let me know if you have same issues as me.
I noticed that at starting game menu you will be fine but after you're in game like 30 secs thats when this problem occurred!

I did EVERYTHING in my ability trying to fix this myself but nothing really works
I try:
1.Update my routers firmware and factory reset it.
2.Update my network adapters
2.Double checking my network adapter settings
3.Port forward Elden Rings game ports for Steam
4.Disable Elden Rings Easy Anti-Cheat software(I was guessing something to do with this,but even i disable EAC and running game offline mode problem still there)
5.Making sure there no QoS or any similar software is running while in game test my download and upload speed.
So i dont know what to do now

Could be your internet provider having issues. I mean why else would all the other streamers play Eldenring while being live. Im sure it has nothing to do with the game

But after i fully close the game everything went back to normal.

From a network engineer perspective, this shouldn't even be possible. The traffic is wrapped up just like any other traffic.

Can you run a continuous ping from a pc to the server you ran the speedtest on in command prompt. Type:
ping -t ip
See if there are wild differences in response time before and after you start the game.

Are you using your own modem or the ISP modem? Is it a modem or an all-in-one? If it's an all-in-one, do you have it configured for pass-thru mode?

If it's in pass-thru mode already, I believe your ISP may have some kind of accidental throttle in place on the backend.

Most unlikely but possible, if you have an all-in-one behind your ROG that is not configured for pass-thru, you may have a double NAT going on which can cause weird issues.

Also, can you replicate this problem with any other situations besides Elden Ring?

I live downstairs so my brothers have modem and his router upstairs
I connect my router to his router that's how i get internet.
This could cause this kinda of problems?
I did done Elden Rings Steam version port forwarding to my WAN IP from his router.

Oh i forgot about ping test!
Im going to try it right now.
i'll try to ping my router and gateway IP first see if response time dramatically increase if so then it should be something on my end.

Additionally, sometimes the cable can cause this issue. Your adapter is auto negotiating to 10mbps. You can try to force your adapter to do 1gbps and see what happens. On the pc right click your ethernet adapater, properties, configure, advanced, speed & duplex, and select 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex.

What happens if both your PC and PS4 at on WiFi (5Ghz preferable), instead of Ethernet cable?

I didnt use auto negotiating i double checked today its set it to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex.

But if i close game right now everything is back to normal.

same thing even under Wi-Fi 5Ghz when game is running my download and upload speed affects by something i dont really know...

Hold up. You have 2 devices running the same ip acting as routers? do you have 2 internet bills? If not, one of them should be put into WAP mode and directing DHCP requests to the router thats connected to the modem.

1.My brothers router connected to modem
2.My router connected to his router.
3.DHCP is on but i do not know if my router is in WAP mode or not. How do you find that out?

Ahhh you have a Double NAT. Definitely will cause huge issues. Easy fix though. You need to change your routers IP address. Change it to something easy that is most likely not taken up. Your Router Settings:
IP Address: 192.168.1.250
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1
Log in to it at the new 250 address. Put it into Access Point mode. Not sure where it's at, maybe in the administration area.

Additional information on Double NATs(Network Address Translation).
Double NAT occurs when you connect your router to an ISP gateway or another router. Because NAT is performed by each router or gateway, your network is split into two different private networks. The devices connected to one private network might have communication problems with the devices connected to the other private network, and you might experience problems with:

Online games
VPN connections
Port forwarding and triggering
Secure websites that use SSL

So there is few option in Router Mode section

1.Wireless router mode / AiMesh Router mode (Default)
2.Access Point(AP) mode / AiMesh Router in AP mode
3.Repeater mode
4.Media Bridge
5.AiMesh Node

Right now my router is set to 1.Wireless router mode / AiMesh Router mode (Default)

It would be option 2 AP mode. But make sure you change the IP address on it first. You can't have two devices using the same ip address.
