I Will Not Buy Campaign DLC Or Renew My Battle Pass; I'd Refund Campaign If I Could (Spoilers)

[BLOOD ASYLUM]

The most heartless open world it could have been. Uninteresting locations, only memorable things are within the main missions. UNSC have no purpose. Side objectives are repetitious and do less than a Far Cry game. Vehicles off trail suck. Navigating the open world sucks. The story revolves around flashback sequences and redoing what the other games did. The dialogue is actually some of the worst I've had to listen to. Jackal snipers suck, the boss fights suck, looting for upgrades sucks.

"You were everything anything could be." - Cortana

The enemy variety becomes less interesting as the game goes on. A lot of pointless weapons. Lack of COOP. Multiplayer has nothing in it still.

What took so long? Why couldn't they deliver?

Truly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this open world doesn't break the norms of the genre and is afraid to do Halo things. Truly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Atriox and Cortana have off screen 'deaths' and play no story role other than being force ghosts.

Here's the deal,;they made the intro level long enough and some other things engaging so they could ensure I couldn't refund the game. The only saving grace here is the game play is GREAT. I came, I saw, it sucked. So yes, you guys got 70 bucks out of me altogether. You will not get anymore. I actually discourage anyone from buying campaign. I'll tell everyone I know not to get it.

In fact, I think I'll avoid any other halo made by 343. You guys did so much in bad faith here you can get bent.

It is very hard to be a sustainable profitable company. The past 10 years, most game developers went into bankruptcy for failure to deliver due to tight budget and time frame.
of course what to say to an average person spending 60 bucks on a new release not knowing what goes into the developing and marketing cost of a service or product.

The reason why games are being gutted so much now and riddled with DLCs and so forth due to high expectation from the buyer, most game publishers has high quotas to allow a product to be listed, you can look deep at Valve history and other gaming hub platforms, they are pushing game developers over the limit to dash an initial release as soon as possible or have their game delisted from that platform. Today most game will do initial release first to avoid that upkeep costs being accumulated over time.

As we progress further into the future economics, we would see more drastic changes to early releases to the point when players are penalized for not buying the initial dollar value of initial game releases.

You can complain all you want, it is your right to demand better product for the dollar value you are spending, but buyer be aware should be considered as more game developers going that way soon.

I think it's important that once you get burned by devs like this they need to suffer natural consequences of their bad faith. Knowingly half baking means I'm going to avoid your future stuff and I'll tell people I know, too, to do the same.

While i'm not a fan of the game/campaign myself for different reasons, not every game has to do something new.
