Denuvo?! Lost my purchase.
Was going to be a day one purchase for me, but found Denuvo is being used. Will not purchase this game until it is removed. Time to get a clue, Sega.

what is that and why does it matter

DRM that has periodic internet checks, basically disables the game if you can't connect to Denuvo's servers when it wants to verify.

Edit: The biggest issue comes when Denuvo's servers are shut down which will render any game that still has Denuvo unplayable unless they get patched.

Denuvo DRM will have impact to performance do to it being heavy on CPU.
you also HAVE to be on the internet to play which can suck.

I'm pretty sure this is false.
You do require an internet connection to play, but it's not like you're required to be online 24/7 to be able to play if I'm not mistaken.

Though it's dependent on implementation, Denuvo rarely is online only but rather periodic checks after whatever period they have set.

Once every 2 weeks, following a patch, or hardware upgrade.

All the stuttering/crashing threads are a good sign that it's Denuvo. Every single new Denuvo-laden game it's the same thing.

denuvo hurts our legit purchases and if the servers for it die so does our ability to play the game this is why we all hate denuvo so stop simping to denuvo

Denuvo is based. I will be buying this shortly! We will always be supporting Denuvo to keep gaming alive!

Even though games like Elden Ring, Terraria and The Witcher 3 showcase perfectly that you don't need Denuvo or even any form of DRM implementation for your games to sell well.
