LowLevelFatalError issues (fixed in v.1.1.2)
Edit: This issues have been fixed in version 1.1.2 of the game released on Sept 15th.

Hi guys - we are seeing a low amount of player experiencing some LowLevelFatalError issues with the game.

These seem to either come:
- At Launch
- When Launching a scenario

If you're experiencing them at Launch please make sure to run WIndows Update and make sure your OS is up to date - then update your graphic drivers. However, if you're not on Windows 10, it might be a compatibility issues with older versions of windows which formally we do not support.

If you experience them when launching a scenario try the following:
- Update your graphics drivers.
- Cap the framerate to 60
- Change the game from borderless to fullscreen or windowed.
- Try putting all the settings to low, medium or high using the presets.
- Generally try to mess with the graphical settings.

Somebody else managed to solve the issue like this:

I fixed my error code of Line: 1431 by turning off controller input. Dice Legacy (in library) Right Click > Properties > Controller > Disable Steam Input

For crash at launch we found this as a possible solution:
Possible 258 fix (worked for another UE4 game) https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases 1) Download dxvk-1.9.1.tar.gz 2) Find d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll in archive 3) Copy into your game folder YourInstallDirectory\DiceKingdom\Binaries\Win64

If you manage to get past the crash when loading a scenario, you can change your graphical settings when in-game. These seem to affect a restricted amount of people but we'll be investigating them closely and try to find a solution. As the name implies this might be some hardware compatibility issue that we'll have to do some digging to find.

First, make sure you have directx11 installed.

Second, you can try to use this config in

Another thing you can try is to:
-open the game folder with right click on the game -> Manage -> browse local file
-go into Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us
-run UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe
Have same issue (Line 258)
Occurs before main menu
Pre-req: Win10 20H2 uptodate
1366x768 res
Intel Display Adapter

-Changed fullscreen modes
-Ran UE4Setup.exe
-Capped framrate 60/30
-Changed Resolutions to match local display (Laptop)
-Repaired files
No Luck :<

You're on integrated graphics correct? That could partially explain it but if you're on Low settings, try medium - if you're on medium try low. Try disabling AA.
Cannot launch, (Line 258) error. Edited file as advised, updated drivers, tried a second windows 10 device, and used a 3rd party program to cap frame-rate, reinstalled with same issue. Both machines are new and run other unreal engine games. Is there another way of loading the program that doesn't crash out? (Game looks awesome btw, just trying to run it)

Hi what are your specs?
Just to double check - are you getting a crash at launch or when launching a scenario?
Open the game and cannot enter the main menu. Then the game crashes and error code 258 pops up.

Are you on windows 10? have you tried any of the aforementioned solutions?

No dedicated GPU? Am I reading it correctly?
