Social Club Discussion and Fix's

I understand 'Social Club' appears not to be working for all if not most users, does anyone actually know the problem? servers down? update needed? etc etc.

Finding the problem will help us find a solution!

If any current user has online access please let me know below, this will help rule out the servers being down and could possibly mean the game is receiving an unormal ammount of high traffic.

Finding out the exact problem will also help us try to figure out how long it will be until 'Social Club' will be back online.

Guy's it has also happened to me again, don't worry it's clear that there are currently server issues, the server was up then down and then back up again and now is currently down, ignore anything said that claims anything more than the servers being down for a couple of hours(2-5 noticeably) as these are rumors, be paitent, check your emails, make a cup of tea or clean your computer desk as we all know that mother flipper is dirty, jeez man what are you thinking?

I heared 2 things .
1 . Because of the Summer Sale alot of people brought the game so the server are very very requested so 20 % changes to connect online.
2 . This is bad. We will can play multiplayer again on 30th august ....

if you find out why this is happening please message me or post it here, i subscribed to the discussion. only got to play the game (online) for like 2 hours last night just after i bought it, this type of thing shouldn't happen especially when the game is on sale and lots of people have just bought it

GTA was a 'communities choice' a couple of days ago for 75% off, to which when this happened I had purchased the game, online multiplayer worked just fine, the offer ended and the servers still ran fine.

Currently GTA has again gone to 75% off to which I can't imagine the servers not being able to cope as I predict most people buying it now are those that missed the 'communities choice'.

Unless having both the sales has increased the ammount of players substantually to which i imagine 'Social club' would have prepared for with both sales, this would cause this error.

I imagine the '30th of Auguest' is just a poor rumour, being down for over 30 days would not be acceptible for a buisness trying to maintain a high reputation.

Dee974, when playing for 2 hours did you sign off to come back online and not be able to play? or did GTA stop working for you? if so what time did this occour as this could help us gain an understanding of what time the servers went down and how long they have been down for.

i was playing at about 1-3 am gmt then went to bed so i didnt get a chance to log back in so not much help :/ although when i was online the gta sale was only 50% not 75% which im a bit annoyed about lol but this may be the cause? an overflow of players?

Interesting Dee974, the game had already been at 75% before and didn't suffer this problem, so i'm finding it hard to understand if its a high trafficing problem as they could have predicted the increase of traffic based of the last 75% sale to which they could prepare for.

unless they are updating servers to deal with high traffic flow then they will be down for about 12 hours, when updating servers it is commonly done at night so it does not disrupt users etc etc but with this being a gaming server and a community world wide, the time they have picked if so to update servers seems to be not benificial or appropriate.

i had the same problem and i cant conect with live because i only can play offline, i installed the game this morning and whem i put the key it says that i don't have a conection to web to download the profile D: well i hope it works soon i realy want to play online but i have the single player ---

really 12 hours? is that there usual downtime for updating? i not sure i dont usualy deal with rockstar and atm im pretty glad i dont because this is very ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of them especially as their game is so cheap atm due to the sale

Was able to play yestreday, my brother and I both can't play today, really strange. Though LAN is ok obviously :D
