Fast becoming fed up with Rockstar failures and Steam riding their waves..

I understand that each computer differs from the last when it comes to gaming, but when I say that these failures are becoming too much, I am speaking of people that have exactly the same computer as me and the games not working. My main machine runs GTA IV fine, but my laptop, (with better specs) won't run it at all. There is no longer any excuse for this lame coding, with the money that Rockstar has made from us mere plebeians.

Here we are in the year 2014 and rich p r i c k s like Rockstar, think that they can just walk all over people; Even those people that have stood by them since GTA I. Even those people that went through hell running their game LA Noire, yet stood by them.

I'm, (among many other people) running hardware much higher than that of the specs and still the game refuses to run. Instead you have to go through 15 tons worth of s h i t to have it run. Well, this time I am not doing it. I'm done with it. Everybody has a breaking point and I've reached mine with Rockstar, among other gaming authors.

When I buy a game Rockstar, I expect to download it and run the ♥♥♥♥ing thing. I don't expect after payng so much cash for entertainment, to have to go through all of this s h i t. You have had ample time as a gaming/software company to clean up your act and you still can't get it right.

I once thought that I could not give up gaming or Steam, but I am seriously starting to think about getting into creating pinball machines, so that I have something else to do, outside of this oh so broken hobby.

Gaming has gone from bad to worse over the last 5-8 years and it's about time these companies stop ripping people off and clean up their act.

You're a disgrace Rockstar and you should be ashamed of yourself; Although I don't expect that will be happening any time soon, given that you got what you want. The proverbial fat cash.

♥♥♥♥ you and the horse you rode in on. Gaming might not be anything to you, but for some of us, for personal reasons, it is all we have when it comes to entertainment.

What exactly is the symptom of the problem you are experiencing on your laptop? If you asked for help, and maybe offered up your PC specs (CPU, GPU, OS, and RAM), you might get some direct assistance from your fellow GTA IV gamers on the forum.

Yeah, I know your specs should be more than sufficient to run this game, but specific details like GPU/VRAM and OS will allow people to home in on specific issues that are relevant to that aspect of your configuration.

If you think for a moment that I haven't gone through hell already looking over tons and tons of potentital remedies for this game, for this exact make of machine, before posting here you'd have to be a t w i t. I've been into computers and gaming since I was 9 and I'm 39 now, so I know a thing or two about getting things working. But some games and the companies that write them, just simply fall short and there is nothing you can do... So take your "feel better now" sarcasm and shove it as far up your a r s e as you can d o u c h e b a g.

Sewpar, ♥♥♥♥ off you w a n k e r. I didn't write any of the OP to get help. I thought that was evident. I simply vented my disgust in gaming companies and Rockstar in particular. You're the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ m o r o n still here, when you don't agree with me. Although I'm not even sure that you know what it is you would be agreeing on even if you did, given that you thought for a moment I was looking for help here. As for "the guys mocking" me, I can handle my own thank you. Especially against a couple of wet behind the ears t u r d burgers like them. I actually enjoy some heated feedback once in a while too; I'm just disappointed that I didn't at least get somebody with half a brain for the argument.

While I am at it, since you're still here and can't help but read on out of morbid psychology... MANY games fit the disgust of the original post. MANY. Rockstars failures were just in my sights at the time, because it was the last straw. I thought that was evident as well, due to the way I worded parts of it. It's not rocket science, but then it doesn't have to be these days, to confuse most people.
