Dash... why even have it? Disappointing so far, hopefully improves.
It goes almost no distance, takes forever to recharge, the first boss just destroys you by attacking again before it recharges IF the pitiful range of the dash even lets you get out of the large ring in the first place before the half second between it appearing and killing you happens.

The dash is one of the most comically useless dodge mechanics I have seen.

On top of the only able to take two guns, incredible lack of any healing for most of the game, inability to save level up for skill gain, and bosses who can blast you full to dead in two hits... it's a very frustrating game I am having a hard time finding good things to say about.

Graphics are good. A few guns are good. Energy orb is decent. That's it so far.

I have played it a fair amount since I posted this. My opinion of the dash being awful still stands. I still hate it. I hate the instant drop in momentum especially. But hey, at least people are still having fun commenting on a 2 year old thread : )
I thought so too at first, the first boss attacked is unavoidable. But I was wrong completely wrong. It is possible to not get hit at all. That without any movement speed buff. The trick is to keep moving in circle around the boss. You need to keep moving when that red circle appear and not long after dash. So far the hardest boss for me is that ship thing on world 3. There are too many thing going on and that thing 1 shotted you most of the time. Second will be that stupid wyvern.

Yeah, the movement does feel kinda weak and janky. I wish it felt more Quake-y.
honestly idk what yous are on abt the movement feels fine to me and while the dash doesn't go far, use it more as a dodge than for movement. for this use it is perfect as most the attacks are line attacks so you only need to go a short distance to get out the way and aoe attacks have a build up before hitting giving you enough time. try save your dash and time it to dodge attacks and strafe when its on cooldown. all attacks in the game can be dodged!!
P.S. 3 seconds isn't "forever to recharge"

Bruh comes here and has a skill issue so assumes it must be trash cos HE can't use it properly
Dash is useful.

1 - Some of the parkour vault tricks need dash.
2 - There are scrolls that synergize with dash.
3 - Dash is useful in avoiding some attacks when timed right.

I forget if dash has synergies with certain characters.

I had played far longer than an hour

After playing the game longer and getting to the ship of incredibly fair not at all BS burst you instantly damage... My appraisal of the dash remains. Near useless and the most disappointing dash of a game I've played that I can currently remember.

pitiful at best distance
instant momentum loss even if in air
really long charge time.

It feels awful to use despite occasionally managing to get away from the red circle. Even with the three dash scroll or the 50% less recharge time, it is still awful.


While I disagree with a lot of what is said, he does bring up a good point... having the dash last a little longer if your mid jump might be a cool mechanic... it would require an extra level of skill on the part of the player, so it would be a good trade-off.
