I only ever played Red Alert once through Origin, maybe 1 or 2 short skirmishes. I never touched the campaign or really anything else. Just tried it. This is probably the absolute only C&C game I never really played. Others I've played at least a few dozen or more hours.
Favourites were Command and Conquer, Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge, Command and Conquer 3 and Kane's Wrath, and Generals: Zero Hour. I never played vanilla Generals though. Red Alert 3 was an iffy next, followed by Command and Conquer 4 and then Tiberian Son and Firestorm.
I never really touched the original Red Alert, this was it. My point is, I never knew these ants existed until last night when my first skirmish was on the only multiplayer map that features said ant hills and I want to make a skirmish map with a bunch of them. I think it'd be a cool mechanic to utilize.
so if that exists it may be possible, though could require some more extensive effort to make them spawn ants
According to this,[ra.afraid.org] it was MegaMap (Island Wars Extreme).
I was Googling around, looking to find out but found nothing. I'd really like to be able to build these ant hills and edit spawn rates and numbers, etc. Make a mission with a central infestation or something.
Do necro again if you make progress, and thanks for taking a look!
The ants can be spawned from the Map tile " Hill" by putting a waypoint in the upper left corner of the map tile
But he is correct you can place ants on the map , and they will just sit there and do nothing until you add the sections i pasted to your MPR file

Editing TeslaZap in a multiplayer map is a terribly bad idea; the Tesla Coil kind of needs that, you know. Much better to instead recycle something unused like [Sniper].
Fairly sure it works; The Hills Have Eyes also has a village that constantly spawns civilians. Same kind of scripting.
