Hello, I need help on how to reduce lag?

I have too. I played Dying Ligth on ultra preset, but lags in UWD.

I noticed every time I reload my gun the game seems to get more fps, so I'm taking a guess the lightning from the flashlight is causing some disturbance. On my high-end computer its barely noticeable, but on my weaker laptop I clearly see how the game bogs down now and then.

My laptop also experiences lag. It gets worse the further I get from the base. I go from 60 FPS down to 19 according to steam, but there is something strange going on because even at 19 FPS it seems far slower and bogged down than it should.

There's definitely something that makes lower performance laptops/PC's start to chug outside of the base. Tried playing on my laptop, and I think I was getting like 10 FPS? It was basically cheating, lol.
