1440p Resolution Artifacts/Rendering Bug
Something goes off at 1440p with the render of the 'main screen'. It's as if the render is being upscaled very poorly.

Some obvious places to notice the errors in the provided screenshots:

- Pixellation in the depth of field by the umbrellas
- Inconsistency caused by the artifacts in the stripes of the health bar or stripes to the left of the Unite gauge, under the battery number.
- Numbers in the upper left UI being torn up by the artifacting

-1080p-

-1440p-

The fact the sub-screen UI doesn't take a hit (nor the "Help!" above the panicked citizens for some weird reason) in comparison to the main-screen makes me think it's a main-screen only problem, or some problem in compositing the main-screen.

EDIT: I enabled DSR, cranked up the resolution a bit and the problem went away. Game runs well enough for it not to be an issue, but still could use some looking into, I suppose.

I've noticed similar issues, especially with the font, on my 1440p monitor. The word "Controller" on the right side of this screen for example. The letters are very jaggy and distorted compared to the same word on the left side of the screen. Some letters also seem to be more or less blurry than others (maybe just my bad eyes). The 720p version of this same screen (exactly 1/2 size of 1440p) looks clean and uniform.

The exact same thing happens in Bayonetta at 1440p. I had to play Bayonetta at a slightly different custom resolution to avoid this problem. I'll check it out today.
It's due to the old engine. The game was really never meant to go over 1080p.

It's something else. There are some engines (like this one) that specifically don't like 1440p. But 2160p is fine. Strange stuff. I'm not sure about 2880p. I'll get to see it in a few hours.

I know I've seen some other games with this bad scaling effect, but I can't remember which right now.
Platinum said they were targeting 1080p and 60fps (59fps) with this game on the PC. Maybe resolutions beyond that are just scaling up? 1080p to 4k scaling is simpler (1:4 mapping) so it may not look as bad at 4k vs resolutions between 1080p and 4k. I haven't tried looking at below 1080p resolutions. Either way, this isn't that surprising for a basic console to pc port.

Looks a hell of a lot cleaner running with DSR'd 4k, I'd suggest using that. Not a hard game to do it in.
Yes, I'm using 2160p (DSR to my native 1440p) + 2xSGSSAA. I'd have preferred 1440p + 4xSGSSAA or just 2880p, but this looks good.
Not only that. I have a Ultra wide screen and playing with Mouse and Keyboard. I cannot draw any single LINE or CIRCLE in the begining of the game. Mouse seems not to work correctly...
Any resolution OVER 1080p fu**s up camera too, like the first boss battle the it's completely bugged... you can't play with any resolution over 1080p if you want to play the game legitly... such a bummer...

What do you mean? I've finished it with 2160p some time ago and didn't notice any bugs
How do you enable this DSR?
