Game Save has disappeared.

I took over half of the map as the Romans; in the new DLC.

I did not play Single player save game for about a month or so.
I went back to it today. And my save game is lost. Gone.

My other Seleucid game, is still there... but only as Autosaves.
The actually save game is also gone.

About a month ago. I did move/ transfer my Imperiums Game over to another hard drive.
Maybe something bugged up my save files while doing so?

Hello Mr. Goblin.
I am 99.9% sure that there is no bug which would cause any files to disappear. There is literally no code in the project which deletes files other than that "X" button in the load game list.

I am not sure how did you transfer your game to another hard drive but you should always do so within the Steam client (in game properties by changing the game installation folder) and not manually (like in the Windows explorer for example).
The game also supports Steam Cloud functionality (by default this is turned on) so the save files should automatically sync with other game locations (for example when you have the game installed on two machines with the same Steam account).

I did transfer through STEAM, yes. I transferred the Game from my internal storage to my new external 'gaming' storage.

Very strange. Yes. The save files are certainly gone though. This is truly a mystery.
I did not X button delete them.

This also happened to me some months ago to; with another game I was playing.

I don't know why this is happening. But, it is sort of killing my moral to start new games. These games can get very long. And to lose them; just sucks.

Is it possible that somehow the Cloud is corrupting or abandoning save games in some way?

I honestly dont know, possibly it could. Even I see from time to time a warning message that Cloud was not able to synchronize. I can just guess what happens when it finally does synchronize the folder and the cloud folders on two different locations differ. Does it delete files on one of them? I really dont know.

Well, you didn't mention that it was an ironman game. Those saves ares not physically even on your harddrive. They are saved on our servers (so players cannot alter the save files).
Yes, there is 30 days limit to make at least one move.
