Launch Recap & Patch 1.0.0b
First, we want to say thank you to everyone who has jumped into Wayfinder's launch this week! After a year in Early Access, we're thrilled to finally deliver a 1.0 game that players can enjoy for years to come.

Second, thank you for sharing your thoughts with friends to rally them into the game, as well as on Steam and PSN!

The hours logged by Wayfinders have made us incredibly happy, showing that both longtime and new players are enjoying the game!


Patch 1.0.0b
Our first large patch has completed most of its testing, and we aim to roll it out early next week!

We wanted to give players a preview of what's in store, so below you’ll find the current patch notes. As a reminder, since this is a work in progress, some items listed may not make it into the final patch and will be in future patches!



Improvements
  • Improved performance and reduced hitching around enemy spawning on most machines
  • Improved the 3D rendering performance within menus and NPC conversations
  • PC FPS default setting is now 60 FPS instead of uncapped
  • PC and Steam Deck now save the respective settings separately

Fixes
  • Fixed Grendel’s ultimate to now heal for 30% of max HP (this isn’t indicated in the description for now)
  • Fixed an issue where Senja’s ultimate was healing 30% of AP, now it heals 30% of max HP
  • Fixed an issue with Senja where the first upgrade for Pummel would reduce its overall damage
  • Fixed an input bug with Kyros and Silo where sometimes Rakes, Firebombs, and Oilbombs would not fire on subsequent presses
  • Fixed an issue causing Lora’s voice to change while attacking and dodging
  • Fixed an issue with Lora’s channel meter consuming too many bars and continuing to channel abilities while the meter is empty for clients in co-op
  • Fixed an issue causing Lora’s Aerie Priest Helmet, Body, and Signature armor items to not drop from their respective Mythic hunts
  • Added the Shadow Strider mount as a drop from Mythic Teryssa
  • Added Silo’s Tempered Streetwise Mask as a drop from Teryssa
  • Fixed an issue causing Teryssa sometimes to drop Plaguebringer loot
  • Fixed Hollowlord Vendraal’s cosmetic loot pool missing items
  • Fixed an issue with Ability damage text sometimes appearing unbolded and colorless
  • Fixed an issue where Greed and Solar Cores would be available to craft prematurely
  • Fixed an issue where players could acquire a deprecated item “Hollow Hound Remains” (this item can be safely sold to a vendor)
  • Fixed an issue where rats would spawn out of bounds during the Rats of Unusual Size quest
  • Fixed an issue causing Teryssa’s dialogue to not play during The Fight for Evenor quest
  • Fixed the load screen appearing without teleporting in the Eldren Interference event
  • Fixed an issue preventing Eldren Cache Keys from being inserted into Eldren Caches
  • Removed the large green slime VFX from Azaar’s jump attack
  • Fixed an issue where Greed and/or Shadow-based mutators would fail to apply to hunt bosses
  • Fixed an issue causing Phoenix’s to become unkillable
  • Fixed an issue with the Hollowlord Vendraal Echo not activating for Arcanist Wayfinders
  • Fixed an issue where Bloodrage of Vuul could disappear after losing all Resilience
  • Fixed the incorrect VFX on Eldren positioned behind the Rally Barricade from a Vaelguard
  • Fixed the PS5 Trophy “Legend Reborn” unlocking prematurely
  • Fixed an issue with the Mystic Toad quest not being granted to players
  • Fixed an issue with enemies being unreachable during chokepoints and finales preventing players from completing them
  • Fixed an issue in co-op where the Eldren enemy for the Crucible of the Gods quest wouldn’t spawn properly
  • Vendraal’s Briar can now be sold
  • Removed the unintended roll animation at the end of ziplines

Please, improve Steam Deck performance, it's really barebones. I am in the first Highlands dungeon (start of the game), and the stutters are literally insane - it's 20-22 FPS, wtf?

EOS were in the game before 1.0 and potion buffs do reappear on the tray before they expire.

I have both sets of files, pre 1.0 and post 1.0. I don't have a EOS dll in my pre 1.0 files.
Potions did NOT reappear in my tray, and I only noticed I was out some 10 minutes later when I looked at the clock.
Spare me the bs of "doesn't happen to me, therefore doesn't exist".

EOS and cross play have been in the game since Oct 1.

I just started playing the game for the first time and instantly notice that both conversations with NPCs and Menus are very heavy on the GPU - can you add additional improvements because the current improvement may not be enough.

As a suggestion - do conversations with NPCs really need a separate render of the character models? - isn't there a more efficient way to do it? If not, maybe just add a menu option to remove them and only leave the conversation windows without the character models.

As an alternative suggestion - is it possible to add a Menu option in the Graphics settings for the Textures used for conversations and Menus? Maybe we want to play the game on "High" settings but have the conversations and Menus on Medium or less.

Other than that, the only alternative would be to further optimize the rendering performance.

EDIT: Please ignore - I just realized that the Patch 1.0.0b is not released yet and is planned to be released this week! Thank you and apologies for the unnecessary comment.

EDIT2: Not sure if it just me but my Nvidia GeForce Experience does not recognize the game even though it is listed as "Supported" - I tried navigating directly to the game directory and it still would not get recognized. Is it possible the game was "Supported" while in Early Access but now needs to undergo some additional verification? Or is it an issue on my end?
