I am genuinely more curious about the intentions behind your post rather then the post itself. Please explain. No really please, I am very interested, no joke.
I am sorry that you lost your money on the MMO version of the game, but because I do prefer the direction they are taking this product I also am rooting for them to succeed.
We shall see at the end what happens with this game. However no matter how we look at this, you have nothing more to loose or gain from this product, while players like me still have expectations for the future.
Regardless, I assume you already know that you will not get a more detailed answer to your question, besides what the devs already announced in the past concerning this games new direction and business model. I still fail to see the logic in your post, or what you are trying to achieve.
By the way, you can disable any future updates in your steam news and simply ignore this projects existence. I always do that with games I am disappointed with.
Cool, another "founder" who's still aggrieved because they got played by Digital Extremes. What do you want Airship to do about it? Do you even know who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you over? What's the point of this post? To let everyone know you're boycotting a game you already bought? You should probably stop buying Early Access games if you're so affected by things like this.
This is just a bait post or someone actually truly venting their frustrations in the saddest way possible for all to see and cringe at the sight.
I didn't play this game when it was supposed to be an MMO but I am playing it now and it's good, recent reviews show that too.
People mad that devs don't give up on an initially unsuccessful game they either didn't like or that somehow damaged their fragile ego are such sad sights to see (and if people listened to idiocy like this post we wouldn't have No Man's Sky or FF14 now would we?).
"why even bother" you ask, well the even better question would be why even write-up this useless post of yours unless you want to farm points (wrong game, as you said it doesn't have a huge population so that'd be a waste, though this post isn't exactly oozing with intellect) or to uselessly vent, thinking everyone in the world just NEEDS to hear your "valuable" opinion. From your profile, your pfp and your username I will guess it's the latter, mixed in with a bit of sad troll to try to feel better.
We committed to delivering a product and so we're doing that, that is why we didn't just write it off. It's important to us people have something to play forever.
Many of us appreciate this and your team. Please keep up the good work.
Also as someone else mentioned the game's progression (customization, gear, etc) and overall feel is simply better.
Your post boils down to "I hate AS and want others to hate them with me."
No mate i dont hate the devs at all, i just rly dont get why they still keep trying while we can all see this game is dead and will never see a revival. Thats basically all. But funny how ppl get triggered so easy.
Makes sense, still dont you think its a major waste of time which might been put into a project that might be better? Isnt the game already polished enough so you could move on?
I have to imagine that if I were a dev that believed in my team, it might be cost efficient to take on a sinking ship that you believe you can patch up and make sail well compared to trying to build a brand new ship from scratch. This is especially true if that particular ship is already the kind you wanted to put to sea anyway.
The only major drawback I could see to this approach is that part of the patch work required is on the PR side. Thankfully the team isn't trying to bail water anymore. The ship is solidly afloat. However, it doesn't need people like you coming along to try to drill holes into its hull for no reason. If you don't want to sail with us, best of wishes to you on whatever journey you choose instead.
Weird comparison but i get what you saying. And i get where the devs come from. Just wanted to state this ♥♥♥♥, as i see updates regularly but playerbase is still ~500ish, so it doesnt seem to do anything at all. Tbh its a good thing they still work on it, but i personally will never paly it again. Without the MMO factor its just not worth it imo. But to be completely honest playerbase was the same in MMO state. So imo the game is just a big, big failure. Sadly. Whished it would have became Warframe 2.0. :)
