We've also got a trio of champions this time around. Above you can see the distinct regional variants for the main three factions of the civil war: Castor, Valloria, and Eldergrove. Something you'll want to remember is the importance of faction relationships. During the events of Necrofugitive, warring factions will be hostile to one another. This means your disguise will provoke different reactions depending on the faction you present it to.

As outlined in the above graphic, our plans for Necrofugitive's development, pending the success of the Kickstarter, are based around bringing players content within 2025. This begins with those who belong to our Private Play-Test Group. These players will receive access to exclusive first-look builds of new areas and encounters that we are developing for the game. The first of these will release in Q3 of 2025. That means sometime within the next 90 days if all things go to plan. It is not typical for videogame Kickstarters to deliver content to players so swiftly, but we are dedicated to getting the game made as quickly as we can. We want to likewise make sure that the content itself is fun.

Hear ye, hear ye! A new Necrofugitive announcement doth come!
We are excited to share that Necrofugitive will be coming to Kickstarter in late June 2025— that's just one month away!
Just what is the holy order these brave knights belong to? Stay tuned to learn more.
Most often born to the common folk and peasantry, these individuals find themselves in a situation much like the titular Necrofugitive prisoner. With their future hanging in the uncertain hands of a tyrannical kingdom, their allegiances lie with no one but themselves. Happening across such an individual opens an interesting opportunity for interaction.
In addition to new unlockables added in regular intervals, the game has now featured two seasonal events (one of them ongoing at the time of this post), improvements to the UI, guest player slots, bounties, web browser & mobile support, and more. While it is not Necrofugitive, we are very proud of what we have achieved with this project, and as always, would like to remind you that each sale of DEAD MAN’S HAND helps to support the continued operation of our studio, and the development of Necrofugitive.
The Paladin is a special unit type that we have heard mentioned and requested by name across the years from our players, and one that we are excited to finally reveal. As implied by the previous passage, the Paladin’s got a few unique qualities that set him apart from his comrades. First and foremost is an unwavering devotion to his cause. While most units can be scared into submission, the Paladin is unflinching. Conviction and fortitude drive his every move, and that translates into a morale boost for his comrades as well.
For those of you keeping up with our latest updates, you may have heard that Black Garden Studios has been working on another title as well.
