For new-ish players concerning the new 'Save Game +' and $$

I only started playing this game a few weeks ago, around the same time as the date of the 1.0 release was revealed. So I decided to play just to (mostly) make money to be carried over into a new character save. My initial goal was $300,000 plus another $25,000 to completely outfit the kitchen with appliances. I've managed to end up with $431,000+ (and there's still 2 more days to go).

How much $ will you have?

Im sitting at about 10m, i was at a couple million but i started buying and re-selling seeds to create a loop of cash and very quickly shot up, for money efficient the cheaper seeds stretch longer, but it took too long so i swapped to seedlings, because tree saplings was too much loss.

edit: im also not really newish, ive had the game for many many patches so far :)

Game says 98 hours so far, over several patches ofc. but huge amounts of that money came from the seed reselling in the last couple weeks of cleaning out my farm to get as much cash possible

Wow!
I cleaned out my farm too, even sold the wardrobe and the fireplace. Would have sold the kitchen appliances if I could. I can still mine and get kelp and goody chests for the next 2 days, but I can't make the kelp into essence anymore as I sold the equipment a couple hours ago.

I played mainly on the xbox game pass, until buying it here and now started anew trying to get a bit of starting cash for the release... it's only 10000 but I am happy with it. Not too overpowered and not too "poor"

I came back not too long ago and they made the announcement about the game comng out on the 14th. At first, I wasn't too concerned about making money, but then thought about how much easier it'll be to start off with a bigger backpack, fully upgraded house, multiple coops and barns, etc, so I decided to dedicate this weekend to making money, so I'm sitting at just under 4 million and that's good enough, so I'm done until the game's release.
