Hope that the story is concluded in this version

XIII was one of my favourite games when it was released back in a day, but one thing which was bugging me was the lack of proper ending and the game was concluded with a cliffhanger which was very typical in those times.

I wish that fans could now play the whole story through.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a multi-part series, since the first only covered the first 5 volumes. I'm also kind of curious how faithful this version will be, if it'll be a little closer to the comic or to the game (the game had many differences from the book it was based on, not 100% different, but different enough).

Yeah, that always really bothered me about the original. As I recall, they just stopped the story abruptly in the middle of a mission after a big reveal. The story wasn't self-contained at all. You can't have just a beginning and middle.

Even if they close the plot of the new one the same way, I hope they rework the ending to *feel* like an ending. It deserved that much.

Getting a continuation would be great, but all things being equal, they might as well just release the original on steam and make part 2 instead of doing this.

Indeed this is definitely one of the main things I would want with a remaster, is an actual conclusion to the story instead of just a cliffhanger due to the rest of the series not being made.

I'm pretty sure it will be closer to the game. It's pretty much a straight up copy from the original. They are even using the same dialogue from the original game.

There is a *lot* you can do in editing just by recutting the same content.

Great that people are interested about this post. I just wanna believe that if this remake is a success there won't be anything to prevent the sequel. In best case scenario this might already be planned. Only thing which could be problematic is who controls licenses of using and modifying the tale.

It's funny, but I thought the whole story was a kind of loop. If you remember, the final mission and the intro are happening on the same boat. It is as if the protagonist discovered the identity of "I" before managing to escape from the boat and lose memory again... and starting the hunt over again.

Again, it was just my theory, I don't know about the comics. :-)
