2) Do a search for Nukes & Dragons Fallout 76 +build (for example shotgun, heavy weapons, PA, etc).
3) Look at what builds other people have used and see what might work for you.
Biggest thing is you need to be sure and focus on one weapon class, and make sure you take the damage perks that are directed towards that weapon.
For sure, I'm going for a gunslinger class, any recommendation?
i'm fine with revolvers tbh, other than a gunslinger build i am looking towards a melee build cause i actually have good melee weapons so if any recommendations for that , that'll be great. yt links, websites links whatever
It isn't a full build as you'd have to fill it out with what is important to you, plus for a full build you'd likely need 1-2 maxed out legendary special perks. This is also a VATS crit build.
Take note of the agility cards. You'll see only rank 1 of each gunslinger perk, they add 30% as the first rank adds 10% with each further rank only adding 5%. You get more 'bang for your buck' spending 5 perk points on adrenaline than 6 points on further gunslinger ranks after 3 kills. The rest of agility is left spare for however you chose to play from stealth to run and gun.
Another note is that perk costs and effects are currently being tested on the PTS. Some such as batteries included and starched genes are set to be reduced in cost. This'll free up luck as starched genes is also moving to endurance. As this is also a crit focused build you'll want as much luck as possible. I only have it at 14 but ideally you'll want it at 15+
At 15 luck and critical savvy you can crit every 3rd shot. At 23 with critical savvy and a weapon with +15 crit fill legendary effect you can crit every second shot. At 33 with critical savvy you can also crit every second shot without need for the weapon legendary effect. No other values of luck have any real benefit or effect (well... they do in the condition of dropped gear, but that is also changing next patch as mobs won't drop much gear).
For a revolver with only 6 shots the ability to crit 3 times per reload vs 2 is significant, but getting there is a long term struggle so focus on every third shot with 15 luck should suffice.
If you don't want to use VATS... um... ok your choice and you can ignore most of this advice.
