Iron Brigade

Iron Brigade

I do not recommend buying this game
Except the obvious "it's made for consoles" with a horrible UI and crappy graphics it's just so very bug ridden!

If you use a monitor with a resolution of 2560xX you will get an error right from the start. And there is NO indication about this error. I just found out about it by another guy. Adjusting the resolution to something like 1600xX lets you start the game.

And second, ... well, just read the thread "Two bugs on the second mission". The exact same happened to me. I'm done, deinstall and money back please!

I do not recommend either, the game lags so bad in multiplayer it's unplayable. I will never buy another game from this company again.

Just because it seems pretty one-note here at this point, I'd like to provide a counter view. Played through the whole game with no serious bugs, UI issues, or multiplayer lag. Also, terrifically fun, so maybe consider it, eh?

i run it at 1920x1200 with no issues at all. No UI issues so far. I played this on xbox and had a blast co-op with friends so decided to try it out when it was onsale.. have enjoyed every minute of it.

I would have to disagree, yes the game has problems (mainly the lag issue 10+ mins into the game), but outside of that....great game and lots of fun. Never Alt + Tab out, Alt+Enter first then Alt+Tab

How can you disagree? The game isn't just laggy.. it's completely unplayable in coop/MP. - How is this any different from War Z and their inaccurate descriptions on steam? To list this game as co-op or multiplayer is a blatant untruth.
Multiplayer has had a stutter bug since day one, and DF has been working on it ever since. They've been working with MS to deal with the disaster that is known as Games for Windows Live. That said, the game IS fun in singleplayer. If you want to put a serious effort into multiplayer though, the game really works against you. It's pretty much caused the death of the online component of the game.

I would love to see this franchise given the love it deserves. Mechs + tower defense is a great combo, but the execution of the online portion leaves a lot to be desired.
Since it's an Xbox Live Arcade game, I bet Double Fine has some kind of contract that forced them to release this game as a GFWL game. I've played the game for a couple hours and have had no issues with the game. It's better than playing it on the Xbox with a horrible low resolution that all console games are stuck with.

Yeah, it is only on the PC that this problem comes up. Try some of the survival maps and you will see the stutter around wave 20 or so.

Played for 3 hours straight. 0 bugs, 0 lags but I played it in single player.
Don't hate on double fine! it's not them! Microsoft wont let them update it easily and they have to go through this complicated process because of GFWL.

actually sooner than 20 depending on how many collectors you set up... but that's neither here nor there... can't wait till they get the ingame pilot search working...

Maybe we should stop putting collectors out? Will that fix it? I don't think so!
Two of my friends have been enjoying the game for the last week or two (at least). So much so that one of them gifted me a copy tonight. We played for a couple of hours on multiplayer and had a great time. 1600x1200. No bugs, no lag, all fun. I'm up to level five or so...

Thought I'd just put in my two cents.

*UPDATE*
Well, okay... Now that we're at level nine and ten and such (about 9 and 10 hours into it), we're running into what I guess is the "Scrap Stutter Bug". Really frustrating. The pauses in the action take you out of the moment and there are constant "Waiting for *player name*" messages at the top of the screen.

Another post said to try turning off VSync to help improve the framerate, we'll try that next time.
