Double Fine on Mac : Creators seek professionals programmers.

Hi,

For the creation, it is indisputable : Double Fine is a great enterprise.
For the programming, forget that.

Psychonauts : Impossible to change language without arranging yourself inside the programme.
No option in menu. Surely no time for that. Never found the way on Mac version.

The Cave : Stripes on display. Playing with a Windows version inside Wineskin (emulator).

Stacking : Same stripes. Wineskin version.

Costume Quest : Crash game. No playing at all. Even Windows version.

I'm downloading Brutal Legend and I'm anxious (8 Go).

The solution ? For the Mac users, download the illegal version cracked. Like that, when the game not working, at least, it's free.

It's illegal to call with use of cracked game ? Yeah !
It's illegal to sell most games who doesn't work.

Shame on Double (Half) Fine...

Thanks Daniel for your answer and understand my anger.

I already wrote to Double FIne.
Like everybody, I will wait for the patch (my problems is the same of the others on different forums).

A part of this anger is due to the fact that I'm playing since 1984 (on Commodore 64) and like every old players, I knew a time when the game wich where sold working well.

And even today, lots of games work fine, without any problems. Often to the same companies (like Square Soft and the Final Fantasy serie by exemple).
I you are player yourself, you must understand what I mean.

In terms of computer programming, the only difference between a game wich goes and a game wich does not go, it's the rigour of its conceptors.

I understand, and as a consumer I know how you feel. Additionally, as a programmer you understand the vastly more complex space in which products these days have to compete. With so many different hardware and software configurations it is next to impossible to test for every configuration.

And I handle a lot of the email support, so if you have not seen a reply yet I apologize, but you should hear something back soon.

Here my configuration : MacBook Pro late 2011 - Intel Core i5 2,4 Ghz - 4 Go RAM 1333 Mhz DDR3 - Intel HD 3000 384 Mo - Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

And now, I'm gonna forget Double Fine since three of four games doesn't work. The fourth (Psychonauts) is already played (Transgaming version).

Thanks to Steam platform for making Psychonauts in french version (stupid .ini file).

Currently we are working on a fix for the Intel HD3000 GPU. There is a driver compatibility issue with our game, the driver and the older OSX version. If you upgrade to 10.8.3 you should not have those issues.

No way, I stay on my older OS X Lion (18 months old !!).

One thing you didn't get back in the day was real time responses to your problems from actual developers. A middle of the road integrated graphics card with an outdated apple OS is asking for trouble so I'm not surprised some games give you issues.
