You can also see what they already have been fixing or are/will be taking on.
I had my 'oh no' moments too but I'm sure the necessary will be done.
If you want things fast, play Rust (if you don't have night vision, there it's pitch black since that implementation by the way).
I couldn't play much on BW3 (buddies needed support in Scum and I'm saving energy for New World 🙂) but I had hours of fun already. I could do what was necessary, I could progress... And some things actually felt quite satisfying/rewarding.
I'm especially looking forward to feel the real timer pressure as it's the key feature of the game not being implemented right now.
But ok, if you're refunding now while you have time until 2 playing hours after release, I guess you already set up your mind 🙂.
The second stream was by a solo player who made it to the arctic only to be met by endless waves of wolves. And the arctic wolf respawn got turned down? If this guy makes it to the mammoth... fat chance since since he has no gun he will never beat it, it has at minimum several thousand hit points and I doubt he will make it there before the beta test is over. The crafting ratios are ridiculous. I've got Valheim and will have to finish it in creative mode and I'm not going to get another like it. Hate on mye if you will but unless you have a large group you will never finish this game and the grinding is going to be ridiculous.
I Play with one or 2 friends, granted we all getting on a bit and are maybe a bit slower at progressing than others but up until this weekend we were all enjoying it.
The need for Iron to make stone is silly because i just watched 3 wolfs demolish a line of stone foundations with ease, the wooden defence hedgehog actually take less damage than stone, that's taking the extreme survival tag to far. Animals do not eat there way through stone in seconds.
The Spawns of wolfs and bears are silly, we have basically been Forced to hide in a cave, that in itself would not be to bad but every day we have to clear 1 bear and 5 wolfs from in front of the cave, some days we get 2 waves (the corpse (free meal detection) which basically means we spend our whole day fighting and recovering from wildlife.
Add in deaths because you are usually in your Inventory or doing something when Mr 880lb bear tiptoes up to you and tears you a new one. The daily storm that basically forces you to take shelter.
I have seen this ALL before, ARK/ Dark and Light had most of the same problems, houses getting ruined by Dodo's, bad metal availability for low level players etc etc etc. yeah some got addressed and fixed as time went bye but some issues never got fixed. Point here being why should I pay money for a survival game that's basically following the same path as most of the others
Much better to refund because you can pretty much guarantee this game will be on sale for a lower or same price in every steam sale after Xmas.
They care about realism soo much i have to eat and drink 6 times a day, have a pretty day night and storm cycle BUT i need iron to make stone walls and wolfs/ bears can eat these blocks in 4 hits
Apparently, some clicks or taps and light reading is too much of an effort... Rather just complain...
I recently bought Zee.End. My husband laughed at me. Yes, it's rather empty still and cars were spawning in a hunting tower (which was just funny as hell)... Still, the day after I posted some issues, they fixed some already. Content is added, more is planned... It's nice to grow with a game.
Ok, I might be not the average player. I kinda collect survival games and even kept some very bad ones. I can rather well just accept a game as it is. The best hours are always the first ones, discovering, exploring or when new content has been added... Even with bugs - as long it's playable in the way you can reach all content.
I don't go out, don't go to the movies... If I get a certain number of hours out of a game compared to the price, for me it's already worth it.
Go upvote 🙂.
You can;t join public games? or you dont want to? or that feature doesnt exist?
It seemed the entrance point to snow had a lot of wolves once you made it in deeper then there were only some polar bears that were easy to sneak by. The wolves take maybe 2 to 3 hits to kill with knife and barely damage you.
Being in Beta, balancing and tweaking is key. We know this, and so we've been really figuring out how we're going to approach this and gathering a ton of player data over the weekends. Bugs too, getting thousands of players in the game, gives us data we just can't get any other way!
I would encourage you to come back at the 1.0 launch, it sounds like the Beta approach doesn't quite work for you and that is TOTALLY ok! It's not for everyone, some of us just like a working, polished game!
Thanks again for the feedback, and I hope to see you on launch!
