Hello folks,

For the past few days, we at Random Potion have been hard at work assessing, reproducing and fixing the most acute issues discovered since launch, and are now ready to launch version 1.0.2. The Changelog can be found at the end of this post.

Our priority right now is in fixing bugs, and that work is still ongoing. We do also follow the discussions and reviews here on Steam, and are in active talks with the publisher to determine the best steps forward.

Thanks to everyone for the bug reports, constructive criticism and other feedback!


Changelog:
  • Fixed players with certain system locales (at least Norwegian Bokmål) being unable to progress beyond the main menu.
  • Fixed "Steam Default" language option not working. The game would always start in english, unless the "Deutsch" option was selected in the in-game options, instead of "Steam Default (Deutsch)".
  • Downtuned "Sleepwalker" disadvantage and reduced its proc chance. It will no longer teleport you miles away from the party, behind locked doors or, in one case of a misplaced spawn point, inside walls.
  • Show "Sleepwalker" floater on the affected character after resting finishes, to reduce confusion over the character having moved on his/her own.
  • Fixed the game being un-quittable when the player has no characters.
  • Reduced memory overhead from having multiple characters in your account. More work needs to be done on memory usage, but character count should no longer affect it as much.
  • Enemy loot (such as the dungeon exit key) is now spawned at the feet of the downed enemy. This should prevent it from ending up behind locked doors or at the bottom of a lake.
  • Regeneration is now shown in the Log while resting.
  • Elves can now acquire spells via character progression
  • Lower difficulty for the early adventures
  • Cultists are not as spell happy anymore
  • Enemies leave less traps
  • Removed Luck advantage from new characters (it has no function in game)
  • Henchmen finish combat before stabilising
  • Henchmen now react to 'Trap' map marker
  • Adventure Results screen layout fixed
  • Fixed personal quest triggering multiple times
  • Added tooltips to progression cards
  • Fixed movement speed from Axxeleratus never ending
  • Fixed “Fire And Brimstone” spell particles never ending
  • Fixed several ESC and System Menu bugs

Is there any character leveling going on in this game? From what I have read and heard. there is really no character progression. Just terrot cards? Why is there no character levels?

the tarot cards are used for the character progression. typically you would spend your adventure points in points that you need/want.
here you still spend your adventure points for skills, but the skills are attached to the tarot cards and you get only three semirandom ones after each mission.

hello. why did you change the npcs into kamikaze behaviour?
it would make sense for the fighter Cordovan to continue fighting while the others focus on stabilizing.
the net effect is that they bezerk 1 on everything is left and I wipe more than before, was that the intention to balance out the reduced spawns?

Well reviews and purchases most likely were not good. Part of it is being because the black eye fanbase is notoriously harsh part of it because the game should have been released as early access title imo.
To clarify: you have to have big balls to release a black eye game.

The Dark Eye

You do not translate "Schwarze Auge" simply into "Black Eye" in this case because Black Eye basically means "blaues Auge".

So it was indeed correct to translate it into "The Dark Eye" instead.

ah yes was not thinking. but black eye basically fits in this case.
It works in all languages but english, the french translation was also called black (if i recall correctly the dutch one was called the eye of the master or something?)

Gilandilas, yep. In Italian it's a "look into the dark" (Uno sguardo nel buio). And in Russian the eye is also "dark" rather than "black".

So what's wrong withe the game title? Das schwarze Auge means black eye. It was translated into english as dark eye, because soon the words black and white will be banned in the united states. Lol.
Dark eye will be in german das dunkle Auge and it sounds really ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
It has nothing to do with politics, the eye is black.
The orks in the dark eye universe are with black felt and they are not tolerant. They're females has absolutely no rights. So what now?
It's just a fantasy universe. The good old das schwarze Auge.
