Am I heating wrong?
I feel like I'm missing something about heating - I've been trying to get the temp up to 24 which is what all the guests want, but I'm up to 4 boilers and I can only get up to 22 in the daytime, and I'm rapidly running out of fuel. I don't seem to be able to find enough fuel on a daily basis to keep even the four I have full, and soon I'm not going to be able to cook anymore. Did I miss something?

5 level1 boilers should be enough. I kinda skipped Winterberry for now as I dont have the resources to maintain it, but later on you'll get an NPC that can manage them for you for a daily fee. If it's anything like the kitchen helper, you'll probably dont have worry about the fuel cost, only need to pay them.

There's a vendor that sells fuel, I think the bird in A24.

Oh thanks! Yeah I think I need to have enough guests come through to get the shark to move (maybe not, I'll go check down in pinefall) but I've been considering doing the same and just abandoning it. The way things were going I kinda figured someone would eventually be able to maintain that, but considering he sells it for 30 per fuel I was a bit worried what it would cost me.

Good to know I'm not missing something though, I thought I saw a fireplace blueprint at some point but now I can't find it, and I thought it was something dumb like me having to pair the boilers with something else. Or there being some temperature setting somehwere that I didn't have set high enough.

I'll check out the bodega, but the doggo at least sells it, but its SO EXPENSIVE

Sadly, bird sells at the same price too :(

I just let the guests freeze till I got all the shark wanted.
Consumtion of fuel is ridiculous, not even close to be manageable without Jax filling the ovens.
Even with high end ovens you need two for that place and each consumes about 2000ish per day.

Heat is wildly impractical. 6c for your first furnace at a drain of 80 decoration? Nah they can freeze. Even with getting the respawns of fuel near the bus stations it is nuts to have upkeep on this.

I figured you could set a temperature via a UI and your setting would decide the efficiency on fuel consumption. It's just a flat-per-hour and it sucks.

Yup. We're addressing early heating with a hotfix soon. We'll be buffing Level 1 heaters and lowering the overall temperature drops in Winterberry. Fuel will also see a cost reduction.

I was tempted to get through some bad reviews until I had Jax, but until then I'd managed nothing but 5 star reviews and I didn't want to tarnish that. I did cave in the end, but after a couple 4.5s decided to just bite the bullet and dump all my savings into adding one more heater. Finally got Jax though so I'm back on track =)

Ah, here I thought maybe I was doing something wrong too. I mean, technically I am, but the upkeep for Winterberry really is absolutely bananas when you first get there, huh? Glad it's not just me.

Also, do the heaters take a little while to heat up? Or is it just adding a certain number of degrees to the outside temperature?

Thank you for working on it! I can't seem to get the temp up above 13C in the small building and the temp fluctuates wildly despite all of the furnaces being full and running all the time.
