I really wish I had of tried a demo on this one... I mean the guards are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, its way too easy to just run through the level or killing all the guards on the way... I guess I could try it MP but after 50 minutes I just dont think I will be bothered after seeing whats on offer.

Pacman with easy stealth mechanics.

It starts easier, and gets harder as you progress. Is the concept of a difficulty curve this foreign to people?

"This is easy." Probably hasn't played beyond the fourth or fifth mission.

Also try unlocking the pickpocket levels.

Yeah, I tried the first pickpocket level. I think I said "♥♥♥♥ this."

Plus, single player. Heh. Cute. :P

single player is f***ing ridiculous once you get to the 5th mission or so. And that first mission after you unlock the hacker is pure bananas. Keep playing it and mess around with the different characters

If I remember correctly, the hype was all about Monaco being a great multiplayer and coop experience. So calling it "overhyped" a.) with only 50 minutes into the game and b.) without even touching the multiplayer aspect is probably a little bit far fetched.

If there was hype I would have bought it. This is an Xbox Live Arcade title. There's no reason I would buy a game like this. It's designed to be played with a console controller for Christ's sake.

Rioght so you dont buy a good game becuase it was on xbox live arcade title. Judge a book by its cover much? .... man where do these people come from?
I have a extremely nice mouse and keyboard setup and I still use an Xbox360 controller for some TPS's and all driving games.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on an input method purely because it can be used with a console is illogical.

You're allowed your opinion. But maybe try more than an hour in the "real" mode of the game.

You havent tried the multiplayer yet!? Dude your missing out big time.

One of the most overhyped games in the last few years for sure.
SirNobjockey Apr 25, 2013 @ 2:53am
Overhyped??? Have you ever played Call of Duty, or anything released by EA or Activision???

Seriously dude. This is an awesome game and a 'steal' (geddit??) for $15. My only issue is the lack of mouse support...which is annoying, but doesn't exactly ruin the game.

You've only played a small portion of the game on single about giving an opinion when you've actually finished the game and seen everything it has to offer hmm??

Yes, the guards are easy. Probably why real life security isnt just some guy with a torch.

But is that any surprise given that they appear in the first levels?

Once you start stacking the layers of security things get a bit more complex. A few levels in and you meet the dogs that track by scent doors that are alarmed not just locked or the cameras that follow you around preventing you from lurking in what might be a safe spot.

And as far as hype goes, it's an indie title. No way they could budget for all the adverts or kickbacks that the likes of CoD gives out. Concept is simple, the aesthetic and design works really well and they've made the game very playable in both single and multiplayer.
