Some Thoughts After Playing For A Short Time
1. A manual would be very welcome. I found the How To Play help section but ideally I would like a manual I can have open whilst playing the game.

2. Being able to play in a window as opposed to full screen would help.

3. Tool tips are desperately need. Some of the buttons don't even fully fit on the screen.

4. In the land based scenarios the map is a pain to interpret. The units are too small and are difficult to see. The map is too "busy" and doesn't really communicate clearly and quickly the information needed to play the game.

5. Map scrolling is annoying. It's very slow and you sort of have to back the way came and move the cursor the way you want the map to scroll. Also I would prefer the zoom in/out function to be bound to the mousewheel.

6. Large areas of the screen seem to be wasted by what I assume are supposed to be jump maps that you click on. They are mostly black and communicate almost zero information of any value when playing the game.

7. When trying different things to figure out the game I got the same error message pop up many times. "Encountered an improper argument".

I haven't played for very long and so maybe some of the issues I have raised can be altered with options already in the game but overall I found it quite a frustrating experience.

Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations has a similar GUI layout to this game but all the information presented there is easily accessible and can be understood at a glance. Unfortunately that is not the case with this game.

I don't want to be too critical as games like this are rare and I want to support anyone who makes them (which is why I bought it) but it still needs some work IMO.

Thank you, I want this one but I will wait and see how the devs do with patches, corrections and updates.
Scenario editor? If not that would really be a bonus.

As far as i know Russia is not playable in any of the scenarios. But of course the US and their allies are. Pathetic.

let us know how you get on at a later date once patched Warspite as it does look like a CMANO clone with a low end engine, so will follow the progress and see what new patches come out and how the support goes, windows 10 and screen sizes and maybe what it's like with a 4k screen engine wise, map speed and engine ability to scroll faster and display quicker from the video's posted would be nice

This has nothing to do with my thread and should be deleted. No (geo)politics here, just discussion of this game.

Are you going to address any of these issues?

Your input is very important for us to improve the game. Could you shed some light on the specification of your machine, including OS version, CPU type, memory size, as well the screen resolution?

For issue 7, it would be very helpful if you could describe in detail what kind of dialog or menu, or what action you're trying to do when you encountered the problem?

Definite improvements. I was able to load and unload infantry from landing craft. Still unable to load paras on airlift. At this scale, might want to have everything pre-loaded to go. Also if you have paras pre-loaded to check that it is possible to order them to unload at enemy destination, which may work, but I can't test it. Thanks.

I have yet to play a ground-only scenario, but assume it will work fine with ground units moving by themselves and supply units following. Also, see no problem with air units doing missions, per se.

You have created scenarios with the para/amphib ability, although they do not add much and seem a lot of work. Might want to consider further simplification. With a whole Theatre to run, it might be too much micro dropping one para unit out of a plane ;)

However, lassoing a group of airlift pre-loaded and ordering them where to go and unload would not be too bad.

There is a lot to do here, so allowing to give orders when paused would help tremendously, but that might go against your RTS philosophy for this game?

I encounter the bug (number 7) when trying to launch aircraft in naval scenarios.

Thanks for the update and the response.

For now the ideal resolution is 1920x1080, the standard HD resolution. For number 7, would you please detail what actions trigger the error message, e.g. define route, define patrol zone, define target zone, or something else.

Maybe someone else can error test the game for you. I haven't played it since my initial playthrough and until things are improved I don't intend to.

Sorry, but that's the way I feel. I appreciate that people are still making games like this but I will leave the alpha testing to someone else.

I won't refund the game, I just hope it gets better over time, as we all should.

Thank you for your confidence in the game. We're making further changes, and a new version will be released soon to settle some issues our players are concerned.

No updates in 10 months. They could confirm that the game was abandoned. If this is the case it is better to know and not to lead more people into the mistake of buying this game. The game has potential and I see it as a great competitor to the CMO as it has land units. Unfortunately the lack of attention to the game is sad. Many things are needed:

-a manual for the game
-ability to pause scenarios to develop strategies and / or have a vision of the battle
-change the map. and hard to believe that they use a black map
-ability to change the speed of displacement across the map
-possibility of using NATO symbols to identify units
-possibility of increasing the size of these symbols
-description of functions on the buttons
- units description
-possibility to play with the opposite team
-ability to create your own scenarios
-more countries
-more units

I bought this game because of the high need we have for a modern strategy game that covers scenarios globally. I believed that this could be this GAME but after almost a year without the developers launching absolutely anything for this one I feel disappointed.
Anyway. I believe that a lot of work is needed on this project before we can say that it is playable.
